GEICO insurance

Recently, after catching my independent agent in untruths, I got a quote from GEICO and the same coverage came to $1100 a year less than the local agent. We switched back and have been pleased with the level of customer service. )

Why did you leave them before?
Looks like they could have been saving you money all these years had you stuck with them.
I've never been able find auto insurance for less than GEICO.

I was a Prudential customer for almost 30 years. Then they "sold out". The rules changed, the prices sky-rocketed.

I priced a few companies. Gieco ended up with my business. As I had more opportunities to price out the service, I found an even dozen companies that were CHEAPER, had better options with the policy, and were ALL with "name" companies.

I ended up with State Farm. Best price, I know the agent personally, and trust him. In the end, I saved almost $1500 a year on a BETTER coverage.

A friend owns a body shop. "Collision Center" as it's called nowdays. He handles about 75 insurance claims a month. He says stay away from Safe Auto and Gieco. At that time, I had a couple dozen cars pointed out to me that were repaired, but in storage until those two ins. co. would pay claims.

I had no problems with Gieco in 3 years. Just too expensive.

We had GEICO for a few years then went with AIG. Saved a bundle on our insurance.

They may try and use LKQ air bags in your car (I have not confirmed this). Do you think for one minute that in your right mind you would trust air bars from another wrecked vehicle to save YOUR LIFE?

Don't know about your area, but up here in N.S., it's illegal to replace a damaged air bag with a used one. This is from a reputable collision expert that I know.

Well I have had my 1st exp with Geico as a homeowner. As posted earlier I switched my homeowner's to them. The underwriter sent out their inspector and I receive a letter in the mail recommending I repave my drive due to cracks in it. O.K. now I will admit that the drive is in not the best shape due to the tree root's growing under it but, it is in better shape than some public road's. I call Geico and explain this to them and tell them that they saved me money but not enough to repave the drive . Then they call the underwriter and they think the 1/4 inch crack's that are flush with the surface are enough to make some one trip but they will compromise if I seal the drive they will accept that. I just said ok knowing that sealing the drive isn't going to happen since I am already getting quotes from other companies but didn't wan't to tell them that just in case. I guess Geico is not really to blame but the underwriter is and I don't want't to deal with this every year.

Maybe a different underwriter in Jersey, but Geico wouldn't insure my house in NH because (gasp) I had a tractor. Where does the insanity stop?
