Blue Box Store now shows out of stock and unavailable to order for the 13s and 16s. My order is still in the system, not canceled, but shows a delivery date in May.

Stopped taking orders due to the backlog, or changing over to the 14s and 18s?

13 and 16 are no longer sold. They are discontinued last week. So is the 20 kw. Now its 15,18,22,24. But any order placed before last week will still be made.

Have you seen pricing on the 15s and 18s?

Are they being made yet, or are on as far a backorder/delay?

/ Generator Selection? #284
About $3200 and $3800 plus tax and shipping without switch. Just as backlogged. The covid has wrecked production lines. There trying to get a second assembly line up and running.

Might want to wander by place called Generator Factory Outlet | Home for All of Your Outdoor Needs

Dey good folks to deal wid and got phone a real human answers.

Far as all de gonna ship people go, what you seein is de brilliant JIT making and deliverin system showin what happens when somebody don't show up and work. We got warehouses full of empty all over de world thanks to dis system, and nobody knows what to do ta fix it.

Saw that their scrapping Billions of Dollars worth of Ocean going cargo ships (and cruise ships) sitting otherwise idle in this slump. Costs money to dock them, insure them and keep them ready to go. If things pick up, there could be a shortage of transporation.

That's pretty close to the old. If I can order a 15 for 3200, I may cancel the order for the 16 at 3700. I wasn't sure if a 13 would do. They're not showing up on retail sites yet though.

Have you seen specs to know if there are functional advantages?

Problem wid a good panic is nobody real sure how it got started and for sure ain't nobody knows how to stop it.

Bet yer butt though somebody makin lot of money off dis one and lot of people on other side of street loosin a lot back to de bank dat really paid for and owns it. Know a young fellow who contracts to a bank to secure houses bank took back. Showed me pictures of houses he goes to, look like people who lived in dem just up and went off to a movie. Dishes still on table waitin for washin, clothes in closets, furniture still in place and usually a big pile of bills didn't get paid. Couple times people even left cat behind wid bag of food on floor and water runnin into pan in sink. He say is good luck for him if water pipes wasn't pulled out & scrapped. Bank scared to put For Sale sign out front cause house will get stripped of copper and drowned.

Yeah, but before the end came, it was probably all about brainless consumerism. Sorry makes me mad. But mostly about the CAT.

Sorry for diversion.

ON TOPIC. My advice. Buy the SMALLEST, slow running, high quality Diesel generator you can afford.

Put another way. If push comes to shove, I would rather have a candle and book of matches over a fancy high power LED flashlight with dead batteries.

Cats always get best of de deal. Girlfriend of his boy is into pet rescue and finds dem good home after cat gets settled down at her place.
Far as I'm concerned anybody abandons a pet deserves to freeze under a highway overpass.
He hauls a lot of clothes to Salvation Army, some wid store tags still on dem. Kid toys too, even still in boxes.

Makes a man wonder.

Read, the world no longer wants or needs our used clothing. Bad for people that feel better donating their clothing as an excuse to buy new fashion.

nothing is available right now, but look at generatorsdirect.com

I think you meant-
electricgeneratorsdirect.com

That’s where I got my 22kw back in august, it was delivered about 10 days after I placed the order. I bought a 100 amp Generac ATS in September that was about ten days as well. I think that I lucked out with my timing.

Huge problem including furnace, water heater, windows,etc... can disappear in a night.

ya, that must be it. i order my generators directly from Generac. but they have to be drop shipped to my shop.

you lucked out. i ordered a generator in September, and no matter where i checked, NO ONE had one in stock. im still waiting on a 22KW gen. the switch showed up and i already installed that. it was a special switch. a 200 amp auto transfer WITH a 20/40 space panel. it also has a feed thru for full 200 amps. i thought i would get that sooner as its a specialty switch. wrongo

I think that it worked to my advantage that I didn’t need a switch, I used my existing Onan OT switch. All of the units with switches were backordered.

did you just change the generator to a 2 wire setup?

Can't put my finger on it, but that generator site kind of gets the hairs on the back of my neck up. Don't believe I'd order from there.

I saw a 14 there with a 'New' icon, but no 15. Also it only shows a 5 year warranty. What happened to the 10 year?

Not exactly. I used the two wire start signal from the OT to open a relay supplying the 240v sense signal to the generator. That way I can take advantage of the much better line monitoring of the OT. Of course, if there is a total failure of utility power, the generator would start regardless. The 12v start signal from the OT also switches a Generac switch in my shop through a time delay relay, so the generator provides power there as well.

ok, i see. i have switched some generacs to run on other brand switches. simply change programming in controller to 2 wire start and add a set of wires. but than it gets involved with the battery charge circuit issues. i wish all manufacturers would either stick with a smart switch or a dumb switch. it makes for so many headaches.
