Getting diesel in tractor

/ Getting diesel in tractor #21
Over the past 40 years I became tired of hoisting 5 gallon containers up to the different tractors I owned so last year I finally bought a 100 gallon floor tank and 12 v pump to store in the barn. Should have done it years ago and well worth the money. I just back the tractors or zero turns near the tank and fill up. I use one of those small 12 v batteries for trailer brakes to run the pump and recharge 2-3 times a year. My local bulk dealer phones a few times a year to let me know he is in the area and stops by to top off the tank. Easy peasy.....

If you are using only a few cans a year, not need for fancy tanks shelves, hoses, or pumps. Just fill the can to 5 gal., or less if that's too heavy, and lift it up and pour into the tank. I'm 75 and been doing that for the near 20 year's I've owned my tractor. If 5 gal. gets too heavy I'll fill the can less.

I found a 100 gallon saddle tank on craigslist for a $100. Put it on a pallet and let gravity fill my tanks.
