Oil & Fuel Getting pink spots on snow when using 3032E

The hydro oil that came with my 790 when bought new was red.

The oil I bought from them to do my first change was clear.

Possible Deere uses a dye in the first fill to find any leaks.

I checked the inside of the front and back tires and found nothing. Guess I'll concentrate on the fuel tank next and go from there.

You just have to know more about where this is coming from than what we've learned so far.
Or how often it is happening.

Please don't leave us in the dark just making a lot of guesses trying to help you out. Some detective work and more clues would help out here. Working with snow leaves lots of clues as to where it is either dripping from or rubbing off from.

Some pics of the spots would help as well.

Will be listening for some good info.

I have only run the tractor twice to remove snow. Both times I noticed the spots in the snow. When it idles there is no sign of dripping or spotting. All I know is there are pink spots on snow in various areas I had already plowed. I am going to document the spotting with pictures next time it is run. I can not tell where it is coming from.....I lifted the hood and checked for any drips or residue and have come up empty. Wish I had more information but this is all I have for now. I will not let this rest until it is resolved..... I am that type person who never gives up. Could I be stubborn ??...lol Thanks.

... and kennyd responded that Deere sells a red dye for hydro fluid to make it more visible thru sight glasses & on dipsticks.

Maybe it is hydro fluid?

Deere normally uses a fluorescent die in the factory oil. Greenish/Yellow in color.
Willl says his factory oil was red. Perhaps you should check your dipsticks to confirm what your fluids look like and go from there. Seems like there are always exceptions to the norm, when dealing with Deere.

I have a 4110 and I get red spots when blowing snow. I know exactly where it is coming from--hydro tranny--but I haven't got around to fixing it. I will when the weather gets warmer. In the meantime I keep a close eye on the fluid level. But, to the point, my hydro fluid is red.

My 2320 came with red colored hydraulic fluid it in also.

Thanks for the input. I'll have to look into the red oil issue. It may be regional.

All of the JD CUT's built by Yanmar have red fluid from the factory.
