GETTING SOMETHING NEW!

I checked my CT230 manual last night and shows one two chains in the back attached from the tractor drawbar mount to the back corners of the trailer. One the fron it had the same setup attached to the plate the brush guard is mounted to. Since the chains go to the corners it holds the tractor in both forward/back and side to side. As far the backhoe "only" being held on by two 1" dia pins...do you have any idea what the shear strength of a 1" pin is?!? The chain and trailer mount would bust long before you sheared two 1" pins. fYI a 2" hitch is held into the reciever on your truck with one 1/2" pin.

BTW Real nice tractor!!!

Not fair! :)
Wallace cheated. He knew the answer... knows more than most before hand... not fair!!! :)

Nice tractor and truck and trailer! Although you should change the name of the trailer to "do a lot!".

Have fun - play safe.

Did I mention Wallace cheated... not fair!!!:)

You really think that strapping the attachments alone and having no tie downs on the tractor itself is safe? The local highway patrolman here at the scales surely didn't when I showed him the picture

HEY DMACE,I hope this isnt the picture you showed the highway patrol
Kinda forgot to chain her down legally,oh you shouldnt let those safty chains drag on the ground you might need them in an accident

First of all, the chains are not touching the ground but are just about 4-5" above. If this was my trailer and not a rental I may make them shorter. Secondly, there are four chains and binders securing the TRACTOR to the trailer via 4 huge D-rings, the chains are barely visible in the picture since they are under the tractor but are there. The straps you see are going across the attachments to keep them from bouncing around as I don't rely on attachments to properly secure a tractor.

Lastly, if you look at a second picture that shows a front view, you will see that the backhoe DOES NOT stick out past the fender.

If only you were as concerned about your own loaded trailer...

Best of luck with your new tractor. The Kioti's are as good as any brand being made, they seem rugged and reliable.
