GrayBeard, I'll add another voice to the discussion. If you can safely drive over every place you want to cut then your bush hog will be the cheapest option. But do not underestimate the flexibility that a sickle mower will provide and its value to you. I have used both a sickle mower and a bush hog for many years and have found that in dry conditions a sharp sickle mover will cut much faster than a sharp bushog and use way less fuel. But...let things get damp and the bush hog will still cut when the sickle mower won't. But nothing beats a sickle mower for keeping the edges of fields, creeks and ditches mowed. willie jones
