Esc, this came up on another thread recently, and I have had to check into the same issue. At least here in Mass, my homeowners did NOT cover for either damage to the equipment OR liability when operating off our property.
I got "Inland Marine" coverage for tractor and attachments and it wasn't too unreasonable ($250 for $38,000 of coverage with a $1000 deductible).
Liability was just ridiculous, however. Was going to be $1000 for $1mm. No way.... So when I do stuff on other people's property (I clear the driveways for 9 neighbors on my street) I just have them sign a release. Of course, I don't think I could do that if I was charging them. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
BTW, I learned the way out of being imposed upon (as in my earlier post) from my neighbors, when I had a place over in Lemoine, on Frenchman's Bay. That was THEIR way of declining to be manipulated and they weren't shy about using it. "Try it, you'll like it." /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
