ahh yes, Fiat owns Chrysler now, not GM... Nevermind, fact remains that Isuzu has a longer reputation of building quality engines than VM ever had...You do know that GM and Fiat each have a 50% stake in VM, right?
I personally dont care what engine they put in, as they wont sell them here in Europe anyways. The VM diesel is used by GM, Opal, Ford, Chrysler ,Daewoo and those London England taxi cabs.can't be all bad at least the engines not choked and over priced due to the EPA .
Can you name the models of GM, Opel, Chrysler, Daewoo and London Taxis that use the VM engine ? Yes the London Taxi uses it and the Ram 1500 will get one, and GM/Daewoo has licensed 1.5 and 2 liter engines of them. But all others only use this engine when they rebadge a vehicle from another manufacturer.
Simply put, except for the London Taxi and the Ram 1500, VM engines are put into vehicles that compete on price, not on quality.
