Sometimes we need to learn from our pets. My old farm dog Willard loves me unconditionally.

Lock your wife and dog in the trunk of your car and drive around for a few hours. See which one is still happy to see you when you let them out.:drink:

Study belief systems and then talk to me about irrational behavior.

Have to laugh at some of the posts in this thread.. When my vehicle gets me from point a to point b, I thank myself for taking care of my vehicle, I try not to look at it and thank a piece of metal it actually worked although, I might if I didn't take care of it..

It's much deeper than that. And there's no wrong.

If beauty is only skin deep when it comes to vehicles, that's only .0359".

I reread Moss post. Not once did he say he loved his machines. I thought he did a very good job of describing the same fondness I feel for my machinery. I too believe that is recipricated back to me in mental health.

It wasn't love, but it was darn close... I liked them a lot more than a lot of people. Anytime there was a fire alarm, I'd grab the software and run out of the building.

I did some more shopping today. The 2019 GM's are heavily discounted (about $12K) from the MSRP. I'm sure this reflects the price point people are willing to pay as well as the fact that 2020 is a redesigned model. The ride of the GM can't be beat, they truly are noticeably smoother than Ford or Ram on a rough road.

Here's a kicker. I took a 2019 Ram 2500 Laramie with Cummins for a drive. A mile from the dealership, it starts to stutter and throws an engine fault code and we limped back to the dealership. It might of had water in the fuel as it only had 30 miles remaining in the tank.

I think I'm down to a Ford or GM.

I've had new 1500's --2011 1500 SLE with a 6.2, 2013 Delali and a 2016 All-Terrain SLT and now a 2019 2500 Dmax Denali. No problems with any of them. As with anything, there are some bells and whistles that are fairly useless and a few things I wished they had but nothing that's a game changer for me. Wish the GM 2500's had the ladder like the fords, that bed is high and with a tonneau cover, there's not much to grab a hold of when using the bumper steps..And they are pretty high too.

My neighbor has a new Ford 2500 6.2 gasser--Nice truck, I'd buy it. Prior to that he was a hard core Dodge guy--Too many suspension problems for my tastes..Ball joints, wheel bearings etc. They are sharp looking though.
