So I wonder if Parker is really done?
The question is --- where did the gold come from he found last winter? Remember he did a "test" dig and then panned or ran material through the machine to get a good pan of gold. During last night's show he was talking about cross contamination of that test material. Cross contamination from where? On his property, or did someone set him up with a little gold tossed in the pile of test dirt he was running? Gosh... sounds like a soap opera..... :laughing:

When Tony Beet comes down to visit/advise Parker did anyone else catch the comment Tony's wife made about being Parker's 'homeless mother-in-law'? wonder what that is about? Maybe we will see Parker moving to some new ground with help from Tony?
Not me. I know the side of that kind of life, they are not showing. The long hours, the mud, the mosquitoes, the bears, the lack of comfort items, the lack of entertainment, the limited menu.
I was going to put the lack of female companionship on the list, but that could also be considered a bonus. :laughing:

I remember last season Parker was up there & they had a good looking girl there too
Heck with the kids get up & go I wouldnt mind him as a step son maybe I could get something done some days lol... Unfortunately most all the girls his age in the family are only after total looser lazy guys with records and vid/drug addictions...

The show is already starting off this year (2013) with all the claims going broke because of equipment failure or bad choices in where to look. How long can the show keep going on, I want somebody to strike it rich, I'm sick of all the bad news every week.

If I were Todd's investor, I would have pulled the plug on him completely after the most recent trommel failures. What a waste.
I would not have gave him money to begin with.

Why don't they just put another sluice box under the part of the trommel where they thought they were losing the gold? Did that beast not come with a warranty? :confused3: Do a permanent repair on the trommel flight seals in the off season. There, see after watching this show, I'm an expert now! :laughing:
I am not sure why the urethane calk on the trammel, did not stay in those gaps? Normally, urethane sticks to anything, and does not come off easily.
If they went over paint, rather than clean, bare steel, (my guess is they did), the paint is probably where the adhesion was lost.
Too bad. But, it looked like I could have put a wire end brush on a die grinder, and have that cleaned out, and re-caulked in a day or two?

That is what I would have thought as well, was surprised to see they had used any kind of a 'sealant' in that application.
Certainly not a good thing for the guy that designs/builds that trommel.

Keep up the conversation. My wife and I decided to trim our budget and tighten our belts 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, for me that meant narrowing our satellite channels down to only 55, with Discovery being the only one I truly miss. Now i must stay semi- in the loop through TBN. We are looking to go with Netflix soon so at least i'll have the Goldrush from 2010-2011.
