I have learned several life lessons in my many years, so let me get serious for a minute and post one of the first things I learned that has helped me through life.
1. Not matter your circumstances, no matter how badly you've been mistreated, no matter who is to blame for any misfortune you may be experiencing, forget about who is to blame and look in the mirror and repeat after me: "Who I am, what I am and where I am is my problem and my problem alone and it's up to me to deal with it and go on down the road".
Agree wholeheartedly. Usually this is how it goes instead.
1. I am a victim, my bad choices are not my fault.
2. Society owes me, why should I conform to the norms.
3. It should be free, work is not an option I choose.
