are those R4s or hybrid R14 or whatever they call it?
do you have a rototiller you can put on back?

don't mess up the sealcoat...when it all melts I'm sure you'll be eyeballing it.
sealcoats sure do look nice for a while
and then we beat on them.
I think the fronts are R4s, I believe the rears are standard Ag tires. At least that's what the dealer told me.
Oh yes, it will be eyeballed carefully, and any scars I'm sure I'll hear about it.

I do not have a rototiller, I was contemplating putting the blade on anyhow just for weight, but it was cold and getting dark, so on went the snow-push and the job continued.

Morning all, 22 going to 32 and sunny/windy.
Did some shoveling of the walkways and our driveway.
Dog is super excited to go out and roll and dig in the snow.

Not sure I will bother backblading the shared road as it's pretty packed down already. Certainly less than 2".

Be well, and keep those fingers attached and burn free please.

If nothing else, he can buy a cheap TSC 3ph carryall and put a pallet on it. Then load the pallet with weight of whatever kind.
great idea
and those carryalls are marvelously handy empty or loaded down

this was mine during food pantry potato dig day at my farm in NC.
this guy was one of the food pantry volunteers.
Just took tractor out to field and loaded them up where they were left full.

I hauled a lot of brush with that carryall, used for a lot of things
soft turf tires allowed me to go anywhere with it.
27hp Massey made by Iseki, nice hydrostatic tractor
one I fully restored from a sad thing on the trade in lot. Best 5 grand tractor I ever bought.
Actually the Farmall Super A was cheaper, 2500, lot of them locally, but that tractor was the exact
opposite. High effort everywhere. This one was easy on and off, hydro and a smooth diesel made it easy to
jump on and go.

Good morning, the low is 9 and going to a high of 12°F Wind NW19. 30% chance of flurries.

The main reason I am almost 6 hours late checking in is because I pooped out yesterday and didn't get through the news before going to bed. I read everything I could about our current Prime Minister, It is still business as usual BUT any bills that weren't signed into law are on the 'back burner' and cannot be debated until after they get back to real work after March 24th. The extra $250.oo farce for seniors that were working in 2023 AND filed income tax is stalled as well.
The only thing he has done that benefited me was legalizing hippy hay.
That is enough political crap for me.

I see the south central U.S. got a fair dose of freezing rain. Now there is a good excuse to stay home. Keep the home fires burning.

My elderly cousin that died 5 years ago was a retired English Professor at New York U. She had a Doctorate in English. Most of my family over the years back to 400 AD have been teachers or doctors.

You guys stay safe

Trick is getting enough down-pressure for a good clear without losing steering

Tractor performed well as well, but it is wanting for weight. I think a box blade or a ballast box is in my future for the three point.
Only downside is that you can't scrape as clean with the hard rubber as with steel. Oh well, if full clean was the requirement, I'd have purchased a stiff bristle rotary broom instead.

In non-snow related events, I was intrigued by the Darn Tough Socks, anything with a lifetime guarantee is worth at least a try.

I use the “Float” position on the loader control, that seems to provide a good balance of down pressure and steering. Also have 1000lb ballast box on 3Pt

I have a urethane cutting edge on a 96” blade that does a good job of getting down to blacktop on a seal coated, paved lane.

As far as socks go, I am extremely lucky to have an endless supply of alpaca socks at my disposal, just like a lifetime warranty, but easier. Also includes washing and drying. (Which needs to be done properly so the don’t shrink to Barbie size).
Does require a bit of time doing barn chores and fence maintenance though.

66°F and no rain

Got a good few hours mowing yesterday morning and hope to continue today

All my components for my generator transfer switches have arrived. They will take priority if wx changes.

Nice Happy Hour gathering.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Morning,
Ct, 12 to start going to 30 , BTW it never made it past 25 yesterday but today we have some sun so I’m optimistic! 😉

Drew, I can’t tell you how many times I have gone up to the second floor or out to the garage for something and then forgot why I went out there ! 😀 I’m sure you would make a good instructor, I guess you just need to remain focused!

So yesterday I signed up online to take a food manager course through Serve Safe ! The local health department is requiring any one who serves food to the public to take this course, and since we serve food to the public at our summer concert series at the FD , I am required to take it ! I’m not thrilled about it but if we as a FD company want to continue doing these concerts it has to be done ! The course consists of 10 modules, I’ve done 1 so far and at the end you have to take a proctored test ! I hate tests , so I better know my material ! Well there isn’t much going on out side with these temps so I guess it’s not like I’m losing any outside time ! 😉

Dennis hope your fingers getting better, and also prayers for Kyle’s Mom ! Also any others that are not feeling well ! 🙏

Hope all have a great day !!🙏
You know a person has to wonder how in the heck did we ever manage to survive without all this bureaucratic nonsense and regulations from the all levels of our supposedly for us governments.

Did manage to get my spray foam done around the basement sliding door frame, and around the foam blocks I cut yesterday. Didn't make too much of a mess. did use the window and door foam, hope it doesn't freeze and expand more later.
Walked into the utility room without a light on, and noticed daylight shining thru a bandboard, where the old AC lineset used to go thru the wall. The fiberglas I stuffed in had blown in, or a critter pushed it in. Still has condensate line going thru, but I foamed it best I could. Should have went outside to do that one.

winds have decreased, shows max at 14 mph.

Mail still hasn't come, didn't come yesterday. They did pick up recycling today, but mine wasn't out.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.2C and it's presently 19.8C, clear & calm.

As I wrote yesterday, my guests headed off to Launie @ 0800 with my Mate coming back here around 1630. He'll stay visiting until Tuesday... it's sure quiet around here, which suits Penelope the Pussybeast just fine.

It's 'into town' day for groceries and I'll probably do some post-visit dhobi (sheets & towels).

That's about it, take care all.

/ Good morning!!!! #201,491
My afternoon changed. Was taking out recycle for tomorrow, as neighbor pulls into the drive. she mentions the mail boxes. No wonder i didn't get mail, it was on the ground. Plow did a direct hit on the front, bent in the side, knocked 2 boards it was on off the post, broke the wire from my wifi alarm on it. Mine was further back then theirs, which had a twisted post leaning to the ground. Mailman put mail in theirs. I brought mine in garage and had to beat it open. Mailbox is heavy steel, at least 3/16" baseball bat proof (they have tried). we had outgoing mail in it.
found a piece of PT 2x8 (it pays to save wood ends), and made the 2 new pieces. Had to rip down the top one the mail box gets screwed to from the sides. So got it back up, dodging cars the whole time. Only once did I have to dive up the bank, instead of crossing the road before they got to me.
Looks like in the spring the mailbox post needs replaced, hope there was enough good wood where I used GRK screws to attach the new pieces.

And the wind has not died down. It was cold and blowing the whole time.

/ Good morning!!!! #201,497
Just dragged the trashcan down to the road. Walked over to the other end of the property to check the mailbox. Empty. No mail here since Saturday. Can't slight them, though, as our road was horrible this morning. About a half mile stretch where if you didn't already know where the road was, you'd probably end up in one of the ditches. Drifted across flat from field to field.

Good evening all. 18ºF for the start, mostly clear, moderate breeze. Light wind, sky became partly cloudy later in day, and high temp was 36ºF. Made coffee to start day, grief share, stoke fire in insert, putter in office, unboxed and assembled the log splitter, rode stationary trainer.
Randy(wag) glad you trip with your guests is coming along. Zoos and new restaurants usually entertaining. Glad you get more time with your friend.
Ron glad you could help neighbor's to help him and his dad with paneling and pegboard. Glad you hit the recumbent. Hope you got spaghetti cooked. Looks like plenty of snow for squirrel to play in.
Billy hope you didn't lose power. glad you got short hike in.
Drew hope you were able to get on the pile of paperwork. Hope you get the debt on Volvo retired. Thanks for talking about what's on your mind.
Don glad you are not having an issue keeping warm. I got on the stationary bike, bit nippy for outdoor riding. Sorry about the poor luck at cards. Glad you got fountain empty. Hope you get shipping info son on robot. 200K is a lot of bulbs.

Happy(NC) once the otter moves on the owner can try to stock the pond again. Sorry about the cold, we are about 20ºF below normal temps, forecast to stay there for at least another week.

Bill sorry still business as usual. The ice is always a pain. Thanks for sharing about your family.
