Got the loader off the tractor and moved it to it's new storage place today.:thumbsup:

Roy yes curtis is still making cabs. Do you have the straight window ( one large glass) or bowed ( two windows) " if it is the one window I believe they do have a rear wiper. Hope you have better luck with curtis than I have.

I haven't had much luck on the Curtis Cab site....my dealer has Curtis as part of his line up...already e-mailed him.
The rear window is one piece and it pivots out.

Nope...none yet. Real bummer...I guess I'll have to use tarps until I can figure out something better.
And, to add to that, I'll have to leave my implements outside too. Come spring, I'll build some dollies so I can move them in the garage (using the Gator as a yard jockey)

I only know of one location - the one on Moody.
Maybe you're confusing them with another establishment ?
I stand corrected, I was sure that at 1 time, they all closed. The one in Cuero is closed and now a Subway.
At one time there were at least 4 around town.

It appears that we got a couple inches of snow while I was comatose during my beauty rest ...
Managed to get the driveway plowed off before any of it hit, not knowing how much we're gonna get ...
Got all the wood stacked outside the back door and about 3 or 4 two-wheeler loads brought in before it really got going.
Cupcake made beef stew ... and threatened to take the clippers to my hair (ya know it's gettin' bad when she's willing to entertain the possibility of cutting it herself)
The fire in the stove @ the shop is most assuredly out at this point ...
But it's probably relatively warm.
Time to get busy.

No, the plan is not to use them for mowing. I use the 3930 with a RFM for that at least two or three times a year. But to turn one of the many riding mowers that don't get used into an inboard motor for the old 1957 Ranger II Feather Craft. BIL was telling me he has 23 horse Kohler engine that the lawnmower has died around. If we could work up a trade I would be willing to bet I'd be the only redneck on the Chipola River with a inboard Kohler. It couldn't weigh anymore than the outboard that came with the boat. Plus it being in the boat, it would be more balanced.

It was almost a week late, but we had a little birthday get together over at Sister's this afternoon. In addition to all the usual gifts of things you would never buy yourself, I got a really cool book about farming in Palm Beach County. My Grandfather worked down there in the 1920's when there was no work here. That is where Daddy was born. A quick flip through the book showed several old tractors. Here are a couple.

One of the top UK news stories this morning is that Eastern USA is "braced for an extreme snowstorm".
That must mean they are either short of new stories here today, or you guys over there really are in for some serious weather conditions.
I guess those of you with ploughs and snowblowers may even be looking forward to it coming.
