67°F and .26 inches rain

Volunteered to be part of a water catchment quality study thru the University. Initial interview via Zoom this morning.

Need to replace my new pressure washer gun. It had fallen off the roof near end of cleaning. Trigger didn’t work right but was able to finish. Took it apart yesterday in hope of fixing only to find a bunch of broken plastic the worst being the hole where the trigger pivots. Not looking promising to fix.

Need to spend time on phone for the dishwasher replacement. Apparently the email instructions are forthcoming as I was told. The approved replacement doesn’t have features of the old broken unit. I suspect that is to get me to pay for the difference. Another too long time listening to someone barely understandable.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Nope. But there was no grinding on the vertical welds on the sides. They are as welded. I wasn’t able to see what I was doing on the top and wandered off course, and then went back over it. I could see the verticals well. I would leave the top alone as a testament to sloppy work. I should have adjusted the helmet rather than working by braille.
But it’s definitely on there forever.
You still did better than the great majority of us!!!

I was pretty fair with TIG (especially aluminum with the big puddle), ok with MIG...sucked at gas and stick welding.
Can't use TIG or MIG (especially on aluminum since it uses high frequency) since I have a pacemaker

Good morning to all! Low was a warm 68°, going for a high of 95°. It's already 88° at 10:00. No real chances of rain until the weekend. The last "chances" didn't make it to us.... very dry again. At least not hitting the triple digits....

Today is drip day.... need to give those thirsty plants a drink. Will get the first half done today, second half tomorrow. Not sure what else I'll get into.

We will be heading up to Colorado this weekend. My MIL is celebrating her 80th birthday. Just a little get together of family, nothing super fancy. Usually the temps up there are a welcome relief..... not so much this week, some of the temps will be higher than ours....

Everyone have a great day!

.....apparently I wrote this over an hour ago.... never hit 'post'...duh...

82F and sunny @ 12:30, HI 85F. Calling for a high of 88F here, down from 90F.

Neither The Woman or I was able to get to sleep last night. She had indigestion, I just wasn't sleepy although I was physically exhausted. I finally went down for the count a little after 03:30, She maybe a hour and half before that.

She is off to the bank to permanently cancel the debit card she "misplaced" the other day and request a new one, plus do a little grocery shopping. She has a get-together with Woman friends tonight and will be making desert.

First item on my agenda is to head up to the shop and fire up the AC before it turns into a sauna inside.

Then refill hopper and one suet feeder. Probably have a look around while I'm out there, suspect there is at least one zucchini to be picked before it turns into a monster.

Something has been browsing on the summer squash plants themselves, which is kind of odd, since they tend not to be preferred by critters. Not sure who is the offender (deer, coons, or groundhog)

Followed by doling out meds for this coming week.

Then cutting the checks for the real estate taxes which are due this Friday.

After that back up to the shop for more fun and games with the B2910.

Hope to make some good progress today.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday ... (y)

A lot of my welds look like I left the door open and a bird flew in and left a deposit. I just don't see as well as I used to, and 3x cheaters aren't strong enough anymore. But I have yet to see any of them break. And like Drew found, some grinding and a lot of paint can hide a multitude of sins.😂

Good Morning

We are finally in the 30's C (pushing 90 F) all week - hot, but at this point I'll take it.

RNG - I miss the Court Classic runners, Denim shorts at Costco. I agree, the brands change too often.

I'd better make something of this day. Back later.

(2 more days, and I've been here on TBN for 10 years)

And the HF thread has really simmered down and does not seem contentious anymore.
Maybe the elimination of Friendly P helped.
It's a shame that a group of otherwise intelligent people can't have civil conversations about something that affects us all. And, that's not just here on TBN.

I did go back earlier today and re-click the Watch button on the HF thread.

What’s worse than duh, is to not see your post, go back and everything you wrote is gone, after typing it on your phone.

Using the app, I usually keep it on the Participated tab. Occasionally I go to unread to see new threads. Unfortunately you can’t unparticipate, there’s a few I wish I could.
