Gives you some time to study the manuals. Hope you have cordless grease gun you will need it. The service requirements are surprisingly easy. The important first service is changing the gear oil on the track motors at 50 hrs
I am very big on preventive maintenance, which is why I am shocked that my vintage Case tractor did not come with an hour meter! All original Case gauges, but no hour meter on the tach - go figger…

I will also be purchasing a couple sets of filters in advance, because I like having parts on the shelf, especially in this day and age of uncertain supply.

Good evening all. 55ºF for the start, overcast, light drizzle, .6 inch in rain gauge, light breeze. Sky would vary from mostly cloudy to solid overcast , periods of drizzle, moderate wind. and high temp 63ºF. Bike maintenance to start day, front derailleur almost frozen, got it loosened up, and adjusted. Tweaked cleat position. Bike ride after lunch, Shifting much better, ran into heavy drizzle and stopped for an hour, then was able to finish ride. Did get nap in.

Yeah, we really do not want Bailey turning neurotic. She is a two-time rescue, and she is a very gentle soul and Harry’s frenetic puppy exuberance is just a tad overwhelming for her. The Boot Camp will be a good break for her. I have been trying to work with Harry, and he is quite hard-headed! Still trying to work on “Sit” with minimal success.

good morning all
woke up with tooth feeling much better, thank you penicillin.
all that rain down South is headed this way starting after lunch.
So I have a little time outside this morning, may get a quick mow in.
50 out now, only going up to 55.

wonderful dinner at Peruvian restaurant last night, had lamb like Wagtail did, marinated 48 hours and just yummy with a slight vinegary sauce.

very little planned for today other than a zoom chat with sister in CA this afternoon. Need to pick up house, landlady coming tomorrow morning to make decision on what type of formica to use on new kitchen counter. Will take my laptop and set it up in kitchen, so we can look at samples on Home Depot's web page right next to the counter.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

55.7F, going to upper 60s. Forecast yesterday was for torrential rains all day, updated forecast has partly to mostly sunny all day. 🫤

Got a call from one of the people we did tax work with, she wants 3 dozen eggs, so that will be good as they are starting to stack up on the dining room table!

Winter curtains and drapes coming down this morning, Spring curtains going up.

If we do actually get a dry day today, might go up their tomorrow and drop some more trees - I specially since we will bar able to move them more easily really soon!

i hope everyone has a happy healthy productive safe blessed day!

Right now, my biggest question is how accurate that 8’1” height is, because the opening to our shed is 8’1-1/4” if I take off the door stopper strips… I would really like to be able to store it inside!

already trying to figure if I can sink two or three lengths of C-channel into the dirt in front of the shed to make “glides” that I can push down with the blade and tilt the canopy enough for extra clearance as I back into the shed… and can I then maneuver the arm into the shed behind me.

Nothing is ever simple…

Congratulations on your new acquisition. I wish you many "non eventful" hours of "seat time" using it, and send some pics.
Boring is good! Excitement is overrated.

the first ten hours should at least be entertaining 🤣😂

Good morning, 51 going to 55 and raining.

Finished drilling the fence holes yesterday. Only one of them was not going down all the way trying to chew through a big tree root.

Kilroy, you will enjoy the convenience and ease of using the X for tree work. Almost feels like cheating to use it.

Can you scrape out some dirt at the shed and create some more headroom?

Took me a while to get the controls for the excavator to be built in to memory and automatic. The built in movements from the the old backhoe had to be lost first. Found some dirt and tree pile to practice on and then after that easy
