Our county is offering an additional booster for covid so signed up for that for next week. Wife will have to sign up later because she needs to skip meds that suppress her immune system.

The PT is working well and I am now working out with the rubber tubes with handles and shoulder is getting better. All about working it without over doing it.

The Nato Jerry cans are the best Drew. I have the Nato army surplus cans with the long rubber filler tube to use for pouring. Have several of this kind of cans that are pretty good. Pours fast and easier to use than the normal gas cans

Good morning! Low of 37°, but that was at 07:30, 38° now. Started snowing about an hour ago. Don't think it will accumulate, but really... snow at the end of April? The high was forecast to be 52°, my guess is that's not gonna happen.....

Needless to say, I'm glad I got those 2 bags of pellets. The stove is currently purring away.....

Probly not doing anything outside today. Might fire up the heater in the shop and work on the cut list. I just have this fear of a propane heater and sawdust making a bad combination. I don't need any excitement. Maybe I'll get it warm, then just turn it off.....

The daughter called in a panic yesterday afternoon.... she turned into a gas station and heard / felt a loud 'pop'. Apparently the track bar on her truck broke right at the bushing. From what I can see from her pictures, the weld held fast, but the "ring" holding the bushing ripped apart. She was only a couple blocks from home, so she was able to limp it home. Thankfully she has another vehicle to use.

Ordered a new trackbar last night, should be here next week. So, plans are tentatively scheduled to go up to Colorado next weekend to get it fixed. She made some calls to local shops.... lowest quote she got was almost $1000. That's not going to happen....
I can get the whole thing replaced and adjusted in under an hour. Unfortunately, it will take me far longer to drive up there ......

I hope everyone has a great day!

53F, cloudy, and wet @ 12:30, calling for a high of 59F for the day.

Slight change in plans yesterday.

Refilled hopper and the two tube feeders.

Got all the ferrous scrap loaded up along with some stainless.

Decided I'd wait until today to head down to the recycler/steel supplier since the front really needed mowing.

Dropped the deck down to 3" from the 3.5" height I'd last used on the compost/woodlot.

Told The Woman that I might have overdone it as far as height goes due to all the clumping, but She said She thought it probably needed to be that low to get all the dandelion heads.

Didn't get all of them but got a lot.

Ran over some spots a second time to try and spread out the clippings.

Calling for rain for the next 5 days so really needed to get it trimmed back.

Took the evening off and just kicked back on the couch, no painting done. Probably get to that after I get back.

About to throw some shoes and socks on and head down to steel place.

Hope everyone is having a Good Friday ... (y)

A fire proof cabinet to store gas cans and other liquids is a good idea if stored in the shop. Otherwise in a separate shed away from buildings will work.
I got one of these from one of our work site before retiring and it holds all the cans.
Takes space and it is very heavy

Got orange JR towed home in the rain. Glad I had it loaded and ready last night before the rain.

Stopped and filled truck at sheetz on way home, some guy parked in front of store must have collapsed beside his car, another guy from another car came running over to him yelling for help. Passenger in the car got out, and was digging something out to give him and yelling for someone to call ambulance. Saw several people on their phones, and people holding umbrella over him. I pulled out before I got trapped in by ambulance. It looked like the guy was moving some, at least I hope. Very scary.

Oh, and driving up I81 last night from the lot, a passing car almost sideswiped me. I followed it for awhile, it kept weaving left and right, sometimes half way off the road. Then it started hitting brakes so I had to slow to 40mph at one point, then Another car passed me and I thought, I’ll pass him to and get away from him. Just as I was changing lanes, the weaving car went left and nailed the car that had just passed me. I went back to right lane and slowed way down. They both pulled off on the shoulder. I should have it on my dash cam.

Since starting this post went from .54 to .62” of rain. Haven’t unloaded JR, it needs washed.

Thank you! I see the banner ads for all sort tchotchke from them, I didn’t know they had actual “useful” stuff 🤣

I got one for a project along with a sine wave inverter but haven’t tried yet. So far everything I’ve gotten from them has been great for the price.
