Figured out how to flush the brakes on the RTV X1100. The bleeder connections are well hidden and protected. The brake cylinders are inside aluminum cases. Used the Mighty Vac system driven with compressed air to produce a vacuum and suck out at the cylinders.

Beautiful day. Upper 70's and sun.
Had roughly 20 ton of gravel delivered and 10 ton of 2x4 rock delivered for a mud hole on our road.

Still got about 2 ton to spread but it's coming along.

After supper got 6 bags of mulch in ranger for wife to use.
Then took BH down to creek and dug up some nice soil where creek had moved over, piling it up.
IMG_9447.JPG

Some tree roots from a couple junk trees growing there. Then took BX down for a couple small scoops and put in one planter. Put landscape fabric in first.
I also put black plastic down between potato rows so all rows now have it.
Wife helped me get last 16 ft cattle panel off trailer. Will swap it for 2 of the 8 ft ones for beans, so I can use 1 of the 8 ft for the 3 extra tomatoes.

Good (Sunday) arvo. Overnight Low of 11.3C and it's presently 15.9C, overcast, gentle breeze and a 'smattering' of rain on my way into Church.

... which I'm back from, so the rest of the day is His.

Although I am expecting the 'Mad Agisting Horse Woman' sometime later to shift her horses over to Paddock #6. AND 'speak of the devil', here she is so I've gotta toddle.

That's about it, take care all.

64F and "Fair" @ 22:15, heading down to around 53F for the low in the overnight.

High hit 84.6F here today supposedly, air is really dry (DP 33F --->46F) so it wasn't bad at all.

The little monster escaped out the front door when I headed out earlier and immediately ran under under a Japanese Yew out in front of the house. Gave chase and headed her off and she retreated to the garage. Walked over and said some mean words to her and she ran back to the front door meowing to be let in ... too funny.

She knows there are big kitty eating monsters outside.

Got rest of most of the rest of the spraying done in the garden finally. Seemed like every time I sat down to spray the wind would pick up and blow and I would have to wait a bit.

Only part left is the area between the row of asparagus and the row of strawberries. Trying to be careful there as I see some strawberry plants peaking up out of the dirt that the Mad Weeding Woman somehow missed ...

Used what was left in the sprayer to hit the area over by the maple tree at the southwest corner of the house where the one hydrangea will go.

Woman worked on weeding the flower bed, also string-trimmed the area next to it.

Did some watering of peonies and day lilies.

Neighbor lady came over walking her pooches, brought another big roll of plastic fencing. This batch had much smaller holes ... (y)

Took the Kubota up after that and screened some more compost, added maybe another dozen buckets to the screened pile, worked some on scraping off and burying more weeds.

Got boxes for the Mo Jack stowed up in the shop, will burn the outer box, might save the branded inner box.

Need to go turn the water to the hose off out back.

May go fill some pots up with dirt for pumpkins and squash.

Front lawn just about ready to be cut again ... :(

Hope everyone had a great Saturday ... (y)

I have the All American and it it is easy to use.

Yeah ... I couldn't recall for certain whether you had the All American or not, but I do vaguely remember you talking about your set up at some point in the past.

When I saw the picture you recently posted it reminded me so I started looking into them.

Don't know about the clones as they were not available when I bought mine.

Reviews seem generally good.

One guy who thought the product I'm looking at seemed decent was dubious about one part (the screw for the handle I think) being too small and might be prone to stripping.

He ended up ordering the All American and found out the screw was the same size IIRC.

This is one I'm looking at specifically:

Also recommend the magnetic balancer and run out checker makes for smooth running with perfect balancing

Like the adjustable width.

Yeah ... I did remember to measure the side to side width on the Cub to make sure it would fit.

One reviewer mentioned he was using it with a Bad Boy ZT with a 60" deck so I was pretty sure it would work ... but I got out the tape and measured just to be sure ... ;)

My mower lift from TSC is fixed, and a little narrow for the ZT front, but I added a washer between the bolt to be able to squeeze the tire in. I need to buy longer bolts and put a couple more space in.

I'd say it's fair-sized ... maybe 30 or 40 gallons ?

Definitely not RNG-sized though ... ;)

Yeah, we have talked about it.

Currently, that would have to be over at the barn ... since the house has no gutters at the moment.

Might be worth checking into what a used 275 or 330 gallon IBC tote costs ...

Just looked on Craig's List ... 275 gallon @ $75 each - used once, material they contained was considered "non-toxic", can provide paperwork.

A couple of those would provide a good amount for summer watering.

And is certainly a lot cheaper than a new well pump ... ;)

Still doesn't entirely resolve my situation though: Woman can be washing dishing and cleaning, start a load of wash, and then flush the toilet ... after having just taken a shower ...

LOL, guess we have a differing idea as to fair sized Mine in 113 gal, and that is connected to my 16k gal catchment tanks.

My thinking, given your well solution would be a storage tank with maybe 2x your daily requirement. No clue how to plumb that relevant your well.

Wish I could get totes that cheap. Lots of folks use them here especially if they only have a small system and have to haul water. Just recently I lent a friend 4 open tanks totally 570g to collect for his nursery. He decided to plumb to move any overflow to his 3k house tank.

I suspect you could readily fashion a gravity feed system that would suffice for non house use. A couple of filters and connect to house maybe.
