AC guys got back already, repair is now just $700 less than a new unit, that I priced in VA where I bought these ones. I would have to run down to Roanoke to pick up, but they have it in stock. I would do the install, like the original, but now have to remove and reinstall duct work.
If i fix the old one, I still have doubts about compressor life. I bought it in oct 2009, so almost 15 yrs old already. (time flies). Got it installed 2 yrs later, so ran 13 yrs. New one would be over $1k more than what I paid before, or about 25% increase. I'm trying to find out how long it's been sitting in their warehouse.

spent some time trying to work out a trip up to MI and WI this fall.

Paul, Sophie likes to tease our retired municipal electrician that she has likely helped me pull more wire than he pulled in his career. He agrees. She is really good on the feed end.

This 350ft one of her best

Great pic David and what a fine assistant/boss you have...

pleasant drive North through Missouri today, lots of be careful of horse drawn buggy signs, and I counted five buggies in three different towns.

have a question on air pressure. My e rated tires spec 80psi max cold.
My tires are around 72 when cold and heat up to 81-83 after an hour.
been that way since new.
I was thinking tomorrow morning getting out my handy dandy Makita tire pump and bringing them all to 75 cold. Should I go to 80 on the rears?
fronts are wearing fine, normal slight rounding. I think I'm well under gvw so never felt compelled to max out tires. Hankook truck tires. Oem and all new this year. 245/75/16 isn't much tire and they get worked.

75 makes sense, but should I go to 80?

was going to take e bike out and go for a ride, still might, but they say I can wash my rv here so I"m going to take advantage of that. It's dull, not dirty, but if you run your finger on side, you can feel the layer of road grime.
It's good exercise for me, the right kind of stretching, I don't mind. But it's hot and sunny out not, not good time to wash.

well, I can start on the shady side...
but I also can send up my drone and see if I can see the lakes.
that sounds like a better idea first, then washing

and yippy I picked up a SD card adapter in Walmart today.

they wanted ten bucks more for a concrete pad.
I can see why, not good hanging up in the air, used all my blocks
really should have two wood blocks to put under the front tires.
now that's something I didn't bring...
did chock the rear tires

might try doing it all again and only use the fronts manually.
might not be as perfect but want to see how off it is when tires at least touch the ground.

other than non level sites, nice place

Drew, you want the contact patch of your tires all the way across the tread. If they are wearing on the outsides only then you are too soft, low on air. If only the middle is wearing then they are too hard, too much air. You can measure them with a dime or a nickle.

agreed, the fronts are fairly level just the outer edges are more worn when this top heavy rv leans around high speed corners.
I run my hands over the tread every couple of days
backs are wearing very level

I run around 75psi in my truck tires, but if they get under 70 the low tire light comes on.
I must have passed at least a dozen mennonite buggies going to church sunday, on those narrow back roads around mother in laws house.

Did you ever figure out your pay based on putting in 14 hour days (8 hr work, 6 hr drive)?
That's what killed the joy of work for a lot of my coworkers.
My commute was ~1.3 mile each way.
Nope. We looked at where we wanted to be for our home. The job location was not a factor.

That is the way I did it too. I was hauling exclusively from North Bay, ON to Timmins, ON in 1993-96. I bought this place in 1994. But being on the road most of the time, I usually brought the truck home.
