Texas has a lot of chickens
I've woken up every morning to roosters crowing
it's a marvelous sound.

most unusual noise was a few days ago when I guess a donkey was
making a noise composed of honking, braying with a little squeal put in there.
Sounds like poor animal was being tortured.
but maybe that's what donkeys sound like

I think I'd like to make this trip again with a dog companion.
get his take on things.
he'd have to live on a leash, I'm not chasing dogs who go after squirrels.
I'd also like a smart dog.
so many restrictions in campgrounds about vicious dog breeds, no way I'd own a
cute little pit bull. Short hair.
has to come from local SPCA.
would be nice to have some company who is happy, even ecstatic to just be fed.
most women require a little more.

Today is one those special days I will never forget. Would be 62 years of marriage. After 5 years I still miss her.
Drew’s postings of his TBN member visit bring back good memories.

Good morning! 45 heading for 80 with lots of sun today.
Yesterday didn't go as planned but, do they ever?
Planned on fixing the compressor but it was a lot more involved the I though so I put it on the back burner for now. Lubed with the small compressor and it went well enough and put my butt in the seat and hauled a lot more river rock. Found a spot that so far has yielded 20 tons or so with plenty left.
Worked most of the day and blew a hose or fitting on the FEL 4 in 1. Frustrating but I know getting that rock up is hard on it. I just parked it and called it a day.
Fixing it is at top of the agenda for the day (after the dog hike) as I still have good weather coming and really want to get my bridge back in.
I felt better and better as the day wore on so I think I can put sick behind me

Good morning! 66˚F heading to 100˚ clear skies. Summer is back.

First day at work went well. We had two tractors with (60 person seating on trailers) running continuously. Something new on the busy days is two tractor drivers per tractor trailer rig, That meant one in the trailer with the passengers which made loading and unloading easy and kept kids from standing while in motion. I could see the safety aspect, but I had to share my seat time with my partner who was two years old when I bought my tractor. This afternoon will be a hot day.

Picked up the jack posts from HD and installed some. Will work some more on that today.

Watched a few episodes of Clarksons Farm. Always good for a laugh.
