Good morning!!!!

Good Morning! The coolest morning in 6 months at 44F, yesterday the temps stayed below 70 NICE! Today the afternoon high is forecast to be 76˚.

I open the box in the attic where the window screens were kept and realize they have never been used. They have been sitting in the attic for 15 years. There were 3 different sizes of screens for the casement windows. The two arched screens for the study were in an unopened box with a shipping label of the original owners that custom built the house.

So yesterday the windows were opened and cool fresh air blew in, it was so nice.

The nice thing about these side opening crank windows is that the screens fit on the inside so the screens will stay clean.

Kyle hope your son's knee infection clears up.

That’s the way all my casements widows are. I live on a gravel road. Screens are stored in a back corner of the cellar.

46 going to 60. Windy again.

Prayers for your son, Kyle.

RNG, you got off easy from Costco...we left after our flu shots, but spent $200.

Don, crazy huge maze. That farm does it right.

m70, I can almost feel the warmth from that stove. I haven't brought in firewood and cleaned the chimney yet...as soon as the wind dies down a bit.

Lunch after Costco run was good...Torchy's queso and tacos.

Morning all!
29 going to high 50's today.
Got the gutters cleaned and spent the last couple days fighting the falling leaves. Looks like they should mostly be all gone by the end of next week.
Sister is coming in today for a 3 day visit. It is their anniversary this weekend so I whipped up a quick gift.

Today will be more leaf cleanup and also another check to make sure all the freezable stuff is put away safe.
Coffee with the family tomorrow. Need to get the rebuilt carb reattached to the wife's cousins tractor. Might put it off till next week.
Dentist trip for cleaning next week. Not sure if I posted this gnome I made for her.

Drew. I haven't figured out a northern lights project yet but I took your idea a bit wackier and made this hollow globe:

That's all for now. Coffee time!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Worried for my son.
Prayers for your son Kyle. Hope it clears quickly.

Got our first rain in months yesterday. Was kind of nice-- we needed it.

An overnight freeze is coming with a dusting of snow Saturday. Fall is here!

Rigby was introduced to a darling little 10-month old female mixed breed. His new girlfriend lol. We couldn't let them off leash where we were, but they could play while on leash which they did. They seemed to enjoy having a "simulated boxing match."

Good morning, the low temp is 33 and going to a high of 59°F. Wind calm. Sunny! 59 is the coolest it will be for the next 5 days.

At about 10 or so I will go out and fire up the tractor and get the rest of the winter prep done.

Kyle, infections are not to be fooled with.

Kyle, getting my license back is not medical. Most of our medical is covered and some of our prescriptions after age 65, but not all.
Driving is a privilege not a right. Even when you live 40 miles from the nearest medium sized city.
If t is determined that I need 'remedial' driving lessons (which I don't think I need) then the price goes up. $150.oo/hour for the driving instructor plus $450.oo for the final exam and I MUST use their crap can car. Honda civic. I wonder if they supply shoe horns to get into it.

Every cent I spend on this stroke I WILL deduct off this years income tax.

Have a safe day all

good morning all
53 and breezy in New Orleans

Phil, that looks like Saturn and its rings
delightful
have you figured out what you are going to do with all that cherry burl?
I assume you debark and then eyeball it?
you just never know what is inside, though if you do this long enough
you know what's possible.
but Forest Gump said it best
“My mama always said life was like a box of chocolates.
You never know what you're gonna get

going to try to get an earlier start this morning, so I can get gas, and then almost get to campground and visit that Air museum. Get prepared for a lot of pics.
and dig up those plane stories to tell

just sipping my coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet of the morning.
woken up at 10:30 last night by gang of loud talking kids roaming around.
rv is poorly insulated for noise. Or maybe fiberglass roof conducts, don't know.
windows are more like windows for your garden shed, not R rated E glass for sure.

today's four season rated rv's have better insulation, including the doors, windows and floors. My portable freezer which sits on floor in front of me could not get back to its setting of -1 for 10 days until recently. Floor was hot enough to heat the freezer.
this style rv meant for short term going places, not for being comfortable when you get there. Need something larger. Maybe Santa will bring me a 30 foot Airstream trailer and a new diesel truck.

my prior Class B Mercedes motorhome had none of the equipment quality and installation issues this one has. I simply wanted a bigger bed and more room.
I got it, but the quality went away. A new class C like Ron had is well over 300k now, unless you buy a stripper from Jayco.
A Newmar Class C about 38 feet is another alternative for Santa.

time to stow, put stuff away. Have to do it carefully, every time I leave
and I walk around rv twice before I drive off. If I leave my favorite set of outside hose pliers some place I'm going to be annoyed. Already lost one regulator.

42 outside this AM, heading to lower 60's.

Hope your son is getting better Kyle.

Managed to get the front acreage mowed yesterday, including the leaves around the house.

Hope to get to the back, today.

Wife came home with her parents wagon (steel wheels) late last night. Reminder not to let the woman near a truck with a trailer hitch. Somehow she managed to get a trailer and found some guys to help load it for her. Not into yard art, myself, so I will sit this one out and keep my mouth shut.

I got three barn cars I need to look over, today, tomorrow. Don't think I have ever seen them in running condition. Two are replicas, a 57 t-Bird, a 53 Corvette. The last one is a 40 Ford Coupe. I need to figure out if they roll, what the mechanics look like and get a price for them. Any clues on what I need to look for mechanically are appreciated. Looks like a weekend road trip is in order, again. I don't have a garage, and I really don't want to be messing with auto's at this stage in my trips around the sun. They may end up here, anyway. That's not good without cover.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.
