64 this morning and headed to 77 today. Rain is on and off.

Got the tomatoes set out yesterday, but that was the only accomplishment.

We'll have to see what the weather allows for today. But do have to go get the boy at 10 for a therapy session. OT and Speech.

Good Morning! 56F @ 5:30AM. Partly cloudy. High 76F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Balsamic vinegar and oil has been a favorite salad dressing for many years, and my blood isn't dust yet.

Spent most of yesterday removing the window glass out of the donor Vanagon. Boy are my fingers sore from fighting those gaskets. And I'm not looking forward to doing it again on the keeper car. And even less to putting the glass back in with new gaskets, though they're hopefully more pliable then the old ones.

Today's nice weather will allow me to roll the poor thing outside to start removing the roof. I think the forklift attachment is going to come in very handy again!

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Any tracks?

Good morning! 68˚ and cloudy. Only .05" of rain yesterday.

My plug with the british pipe thread from Dragonmarts trading co in Su Song Wei in Sha Jing China arived in only 3 weeks. The car wash pressure washer is working again. That's the pressure washer that is wall mounted with plumbibg and electrical to it so my wife just has to push a button and pull on the hose real when she want to wash her Subaru, and that is quite often living on a gravel road.

Got a letter about the Subaru. It said I'm automatically in a class action lawsuit about the oil usage in the Subaru motors, the lawsuit extends the warranty to 100K. It also says I can collect for oil and repairs but I have only used a half a quart of the one quart bought.

I'm in it too. Makes me mad that I have a car with less than 50,000 mi burning more than a quart of oil every oil change. Ed

Pretty day yesterday, sunny and warm, low 70's, but the wind would blow the hat off you're head. This week was predicted to be upper 70's-low 80's all week, a couple of days ago, now they say 60's to low 70's and a more rain.

Currently 58F and supposedly "clear" ... but you sure couldn't tell it from all the clouds in the sky. Rain is just to the southwest. When I checked the hourly forecast yesterday evening WeatherBug was saying no rain until 04:00 Tuesday morning. Now they're saying 100% @ 10:00 today ... lol ...

Started yesterday by heading up to U. B.'s on the Kubota with the shrub bucket on to straighten the SSQA from getting bent when the grapple came off. Had him put the torch on the cross tube with the bottom part of the right-side SSQ adapter clamped with c-clamp to the bucket and I beat on the right top of the shrub bucket to force it on. After it cooled, it was fitting much better.

Got a bunch of stuff moved out of the polebarn yesterday ... as soon as I make enough room and get things arranged I'll be moving gravel and clay inside for it to dry out prior to screening.

Also got all the weed eating done around the trees/planting holes along the drive and the grass raked up. Once I get a shot of dry weather, all of the ground out to 3' - 4' will get squirted with Roundup and then mulched. Mebbe plant some hostas since we seem to have plenty of them.

Out of the six oaks we transplanted last year two of them definitely made it, and at least one more has some springiness left in the twigs ... will leave it a while longer and see if anything happens. Still have more oaks to transplant but will likely have to do it myself because The Woman is disgusted that they all didn't survive.

Last thing I did before I knocked off for the day was to pull the tiller out of the woods and hose it off. Need to change oil in the gearbox and lube it.

While I was taking a break, I noticed a blue bird perched on a stem surveying the newly mowed looking for some chow which was found, heard the pileated woodpeckers calling, other ones drilling, and the tree frogs looking for love ...

reminded me of going to speech class in 2nd grade. I had a lisp. Still do at times. So be it.
But when you are a normal kid in a town that was half gay, well having a lisp was not a desirable
feature. For sure I survived and did fine. But a few identity issues and remarkably I was not one out of the two men who have had some homosexual experience in their lives. I'm a very tolerant guy but that sure has never interested me. And now living in a state that is making itself look utterly foolish over the stupid transgender bathroom issue. Now how many of you were up at nights worried about transgenders attacking your small kids in public bathrooms? Someone was up all night dreaming that statute up. Sorry, no politics here but our Protestant background sure has left us with a eons of hangups.

I still think I'm allowed to take my shirt off when I mow my lawn...:D
and that's what I'm about to do.

Great story. I'll have to look on your Supper thread for recipes.

I've been just as lax with the WFS??? thread as this one. But there are lots of recipes on there from when it was an active thread. I do try to post once in a while to the How does your Garden Grow??? thread, but I spend too much time in the actual garden to really keep it up to date.
