Mulched rather than blowing the leaves today...still quite a few leaves on the trees.
Supposed to be some severe storms today...some rain and high winds...right now, mostly north of us and kind of hope that's how it goes...

Got everything done I wanted and than some,even found Mrs. meatal sun dial in the woods...I wonder how that got there.
Not much plan for this evening just kicking back.

Stopped at Strasburg RR but tickets sold out. Bought pumpkins and stuff.

Was able to zoom the MI wedding while driving. Put up a background pic of my back yard tree, and people asked why I had a seatbelt on.I said it’s windy, might blow me out of the chair.

When I got home recalibrated the drone and it’s now flying again, but still got some errors. First landing was very hard, it didn’t sense the porch floor. Later landings were ok.

Questions Buckeye! Wife and I go there 1-2x/year. We were concerned with Covid lots of things would be closed. How was it?
We stay in Paradise...sort of in middle of where we go. Are buffets open? Yoders in New Holland is amazing.

We ate at Dienners in paradise, right on rt 30. Buffet. You have to wear mask and put on plastic gloves while getting food. Seating at every other table, so about 50% capacity
Food was great.
Lots of people and traffic.
Everything looked open. Stopped at bird in hand bake shop and market. Noticed the old red barn shop in BIH is closed up and for sale. I’ve been going there since I was a kid


Rt 30 more commercialized, sad to see a Panera where an Amish place used to be, closer to Lancaster end.

There is a DJI app update. I had problems yesterday morning with app. But it still gave gave me control of drone. No video or pictures. Flew it a hour later with no problem.

The Strasburg RR is a fun place to visit...very enjoyable...sorry all the tickets were sold, but try again!
Don't know if the leaves are changing in Pennsylvania yet, but the train ride is quite enjoyable...viewing the leaves changing would make it even more enjoyable

Noticed today that one of the new rear tires on the garden tractor was flat! REALLY? I took it off and went back to Wally World where it was mounted. Apparently the bead was not clean enough when they first mounted it. They cleaned the bead and remounted the tire while I went shopping....20 minutes and on my way. I 'll check the pressure tomorrow to make sure its holding.

Got the new tail lights on the trailer and all wired up. Ate an early dinner. I was sitting at the table and something caught my eye out the window...... looked over towards the neighbor.... the vet was there putting down another horse... mmmmm... this is seemingly strange to me. Two horses within two weeks. Definitely strange... they were both relatively middle-aged horses.

Prayers for you, our team and our country. Sorry about your septic problem. Hope you get it fixed quickly. I need to freeze a few places on my forearms at work.

Seemed to be a longish day. By the time we got home, had lunch it was already 2:30.

I did get the replacement oil cooler installed. Cleaned up the engine compartment first, quite a mess from the leaking oil.

Sorry about your friends tractor mishap. Glad you got your tractor going again. It looks too clean in there. Get 'er dirty.

My wife and I went to the mountains yesterday and hiked Mt Marshall. Beautiful day, but compared to Tuesday when I was there, it was crowded on every overlook along the Skyline Drive and the trail heads. Lots of folks coming for leaf season...it was still too early, although progressing with spots of nice colors. But I could have just stayed on the computer and looked at RS and Ron's picture for beautiful tree colors. Talked to a fellow that works for Motley Fool in Alexandria for a while. We found hundreds of witch hazels blooming along the trail...never seen so many before.

Trail time with the wifey.....sounds good to me.

The problem was pretty simple...the phone number (my cell phone) was not correct. I'm not sure if the mistake was on my part or the dealer's. Once the error was corrected, it was smooth sailing
Gotta admit, I'm pretty excited to actually see the 4052r. This will be my 5th Deere, all purchased used. Other then a 790 years ago, it's the newest. Haven't used a hydro transmission yet, other then a short trip on an old Deere 855 back in the late 1990's. Always preferred gears and, especially, reverser transmissions...mostly because of the minimal PTO power loss of the gear transmissions (as opposed to the hydrostatics). With eHydro, the loss is much less...down to a horsepower or so.
Also...a REAL cab! With AC and heat!! That's got me really excited. My old bones don't tolerate cold like they used to...

You're going to love that tractor (I hope).

Got a lot done today, but not enough. Yard is mowed, sprayed permethrin to kill bugs and scorpions on home's underpinning, repaired one pump sprayer, (need to repair another), hand washed the car, waxed some of it, BBQ'd some sausage and hotdogs, watered the blueberries, small rose bushes we just planted....took oldest daughter and son on some gator trips.

Good evening all. 61F calm wind, patchy dense fog. Fog did not lift until about 10:30, clearing after that, light wind, and high temp was 86F. Bike ride this morning, could not wear glasses in fog, lenses opaque after 5 feet. 40 miles cut short due to stepdaughter's wedding. Did get short nap in, Made it to wedding on time with wife Wedding went well, except for mask and social distancing, good thing not a lot of active cases nearby.
Covid update: Cooke 483 confirmed cases, 18 active cases, Montague 204 confirmed cases, 14 active cases, Grayson 2118 confirmed cases, 126 active cases.

Got the tractor checked out and put back together, no leaks.

Poured first cup of coffee. 50° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 65° with partly cloudy skies. Got both fields and lawn cut yesterday. By the time everything was put away I was beat. But did get drone out and take a video of west fence line. Colors are changing fast. Today will be a conserve energy day. May make a trip to Menards, Bird seed is on sale this week.

Got an error code on my roaster last time I roasted so tech support asked me to clean an infrared sensor. So disassembled the front and cleaned real well, along with a couple of other parts...still getting an error code...they will send me a tiny replacement fan to swap in. I'll still try to get it through a couple of roasts today.
