You have my sympathy. I've sometimes had to sleep in my recliner. But we've had a Sleep Number bed for 15 years; replaced the original one about a year ago. And then, day before yesterday, we had the "FlexFit" adjustable bed added to it. We sleep better with the head of the bed raised ever so slightly. And if necessary, now we can raise the head enough to read or watch TV, or raise the foot of the bed.
That would be nice.

Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 6:45AM. Sunshine and a few clouds. High 57F. Winds light and variable.

Sounds like you're making progress, Buckeye. Bet you've got some impressive looking stitches. But please, no photos, especially not first thing in the morning! How long you gonna be able to milk this before you have to go back to work?

Dogs and kids, how do you figure out what motivates them to do the best thing for themselves? An age old question, and the answers change with every generation...

Bad news at the mechanic's yesterday (again), it seems all the work required on the transaxle wasn't done the first time around, so it was sent back, but there was a disagreement about what was asked for, and problems paying promptly for what was done. So now we're waiting for the second round of work to be completed, and I get the feeling the vendor is upset enough to not be in any hurry. Classic case of the owner/best mechanic dying a couple years ago and leaving the business to the son, who isn't nearly as technically proficient or as caring about the customers as his father. At this point the engine is finished and ready to install, but apparently it's much easier to mate the transaxle to the engine on the bench and install the two together. So no more work until the transaxle is back. I did write a check for a new flywheel and heavy duty clutch, but no more cash until the rest of the work is done. That elicited some grumbling, but also an admission that, in light of past performance, it was the right approach.

Nothing like a great movie to perk you up. Screened "Never So Few" last night, starring Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, , Gina Lollobrigida, Peter Lawford, Brian Donlevy, Dean Jones, and many other greats. Sinatra got top billing, but McQueen stole the show, as usual. Sure don't make'em like they used to.

More motorcycle work in the garage once it warms up, then maybe a BBQ for dinner if it doesn't get too cloudy. Supposed to be another storm on the way in for tomorrow.

TGIF gang!:drink:

Overcast with a low of 29* this morning, the high was 50* yesterday. Partly cloudy today, going to be in the high 40's with a lighter wind 10-15.

Buckeyefarmer.. Glad that you are doing better.

Don't have anything planned for the day.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

My biggest "guilty pleasure": I'm a huge Sinatra fan. Not so much his acting, but man, what a fantastic voice than man had.

Sure wish we had some of that rain. And the NWS says we have a chance this coming week.

Nice fall day. Back in house. Tree next to garage has been trimmed. Couple more trees to do. But that’s for another day. The pedestal ladder is heavy. Should be handled by 2 people. But sure is stable to work on.

46F and sunny @ 13:30, 70F up here the shop.

Got the top link to rear brace prepped and the pivot pipe ground down to where it will fit inside the pivot tube on the frame yesterday. Also got another bracket made up for the hydraulic cylinder, along with some other brackets to brace the top and bottom of the pivot tube.

The pivot pipe was badly distorted and out of round ... even appeared dented in in one spot.

Waiting on the correct hydraulic fittings for the cylinder and hoses.

Also did a little clean up in the shop.

Rake bar with time spacers welded on:
