The kicker for me, is all my stomach problems had nothing to do with my surgery. I left the hospital 2 wks ago with a week of antibiotics, amoung other stuff. Last week my surgeon said he didnt perscribe the antibiotic, i shouldnt of had it. It has sure messed me up. He's not sure why the mixup.

I'm no doctor, Farmer, and didn't even stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I have done the surgery/antibiotic two step before. Not pretty. But one of the things that helped was to eat some probiotic yogurt to help restore the "good" bacteria in my gut. The antibiotics kill everything inside you, including the good things, and that yogurt can help restore, er, natural function. If you haven't already, give it a try. It even tastes good...

Looks like the low this morning was 17*, yesterday's high was in the low 40's. It was overcast all day and started snowing in the late afternoon. We only got a 2 inch dusting. Today is going to be sunny and the high will be back in the 40's with some wind.

I sure hope everyone starts to feel better. It's not a good time of year to have any kind of problems.

We are going in to town this morning. Not sure what the rest of the day will begin.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

While I had media in the bead blaster, I figured I should clean the rust off the four flywheels I drug home for the Foredham portable base and get them painted. Man, that took a while, since hardened grease holds up pretty good even under a high pressure stream of grit. Had to open up three holes around the edges to hold 'em all together, and hope I can find a few 200mm long M8 cap screws in town today. Found a can of silver hammered Rustoleum to finish 'em off just as the sun was setting. They looked all orange and pink in the light.

Good day for deliveries yesterday. Parts for the old motorcycle came, including a brand new transmission flange, one that even fits. Also a few drill bits from McMaster Carr to replace some broken/worn out ones, some NevrDull for the engine cases (didn't help), and a few other things for around the house. The folks at UPS and the Post Office are sure working hard to meet their two day shipping guarantees; those motorcycle parts were shipped from Mississippi on Monday!

Went out at about 7:30PM last night to have another go at the Geminids and just after I sat down saw my first meteor. Nice long streak from east to west. Then shortly after that, a double, looked like two pieces broken off the same rock. Then... nothing. Not for another ten minutes. Then another streak, then another wait, then a series of single streaks, then another double. A couple more singles and I reached my goal of ten, it was about an hour later, and I was in need of a warm up. All in all, it was the best meteor shower I’ve seen, all from the “comfort” of my own back yard.

Off to town for groceries the afternoon, and yet another motivational exchange with the mechanic...

Today TBN hit a all time high of 18 blocked sites on Ghostery. Hope they are making enough money to keep the forum running. Google seems to be the most blocked.

this went over my head...what does this mean?

22F with a very bright sun @ 12:00 ... enhanced by all the snow on the ground.

As I feared, the winds shifted at some point last night around to the northwest and we got something on the order of another 6" to 8" ... so I'll be working to clear that off as soon as I can get the tractor defrosted ... :(

AccuWeather says (more) snow will be starting in 28 minutes, with up to an inch of additional accumulation ... with the wind out of the northwest @ 8 mph and the Lake Erie water temp @ 40F, it's definitely not a stretch.

And the next clipper is due in Friday/Saturday apparently ... :(
