Good morning!!!!

Rev. Graham + impacted on millions globally. RIP.

I bought a cheap outdoor thermometer = 50コF and foggy this AM. The fog is "burning" off. It may hit the high 60コF's here today. And tonight possible freezing rain and rain Thursday changing over to freezing rain/sleet then ~2" of nuisance snow predicted Thursday night changing over to mixed precipitation to rain Friday. This rain/mix precipitation cycle will run through the weekend. I expect a couple of ice events. :( Early March is looking interesting. Maybe a true (Miller A) coastal storm.:cool::D coming this way.

I have a wet deck and pile of split wood on the deck waiting to dry. :( I did not anticipate the degree of "wet" we got last night/early AM. I would really like to break down enough firewood for the rest of the season and stack it on the deck. Splitting it down removes a lot of dirt which is best left outdoors. ;)

LS- I had a feeling you would like that global emergency site. If I remember correctly they will also post solar flare (EMP) alerts when necessary.

Ray- A bad day for fog in the CT river valley. Good luck with the drive down and drive back in the rain.

Phil- This MA weather is abut the craziest that I have seen in many years. I do not like the potential elevation dependent icing threats this week.

RNG, B75, Dugan, Randy, and Ron- I really appreciate your opinions about the PWS's. A friend of mine got a Davis VantagePro for Christmas and has asked me to help set it up. A little practice setting up a station will not hurt.

RIP's lack of posting is concerning.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

The low this morning was -16*, it was in the upper teens yesterday for the high. The high today is going to be back in the teens and sunny with a light wind.

Finish moving the snow around yesterday. But didn't get any of to melt.

Don't have any plans for today.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

A few days ago or last week sometime, I posted about a shooting that occurred here at a local gas station. Well the follow up story tonight on the news: the state police arrested 7 people in connection w/ planning and executing the robbery. The gunman was the last to be caught. The murder of the attendant was for the big sum of $55 dollars.....sick, sick, MF:censored: then he had 'incarceritis' when he got caught, claiming injuries during the arrest... Makes me sick!!

And some wonder why I HATE PEOPLE, occupational hazard I guess sad part retirement hasn't changed my mind, except if own a tractor of on TBN

-4F this morning, coffee tastes especially good this morning... Grand daughter will transition from M-W-F half days of pre school to full days M-W-F. If things work out, daughter will be able to both drop her in morning and pick her up after work. This will reduce my wife's trips to town but will also allow us to have 4 day weekends when we want (I still have to work on Friday and Monday, but we could travel some locally at least, with me working using smartphone).

66°F and no rain last 24 hours.

Kalani home from Vet, a bit stiff with her stitches I suspect, but Boxer wiggle butt as usual. Now the trick will be getting her to take her meds.
Nice building Randy.
Drew, please slow down, you’re wearing me out.
All this travel talk! I’ll be glad to stay home for a bit. I do enjoy your pics.

Continued prayers for all in need.

Got an unsettling call yesterday from a former co worker friend. Call came while in dentist office and phones were off and his voicemail a bit garbled. Seems he fell at home, housekeeper found him and got him to hospital. Kidney and liver problems. 3 days in a coma. Hopes to transfer to rehab in week or so, but didn’t sound hopeful beyond that. Brian is perhaps one of the smartest people I’ve known. He didn’t have a tractor though. Although not active duty military, in his civilian capacity he made immense contributions that will never be publicly recognized. His 1st wife and mine made fun traveling companions. We all celebrated their wedding anniversary on the eastern side of Brandenburg Gate right after the Wall came done. She died of cancer just a few years after. Looking back I’m suspecting that may have led to his current state more than I would have thought based on things said in phone call. His second wife a nice lady, but they probably shouldn’t have married, sorta run off to do her own thing as an artist in Mexico after about 3 years but never divorced.
As we are close in age this all hits home. So, if any extra prayers out there I think my friend Brian could use them.

My drone crashed itself from 300ft but I think it survived. Hope to test later.

Be safe
Have a great day.

David- I hope Brian's progress exceeds the expectations. I wonder just how many "secret warriors" are out there and whose "stories" will never be known. My + thoughts and prayers for your friend.

Sorry to read about your drone. 300' is a decent height from which to fall. I hope that it is salvageable. I have all kinds of drone debris in my lower field. A couple of my fly-a-ways are still somewhere in the surrounding woods.

Trip hopefully this August to Moab. Really want to go to Yellowstone, but Jay made me think about the caldera....my luck and it will blow while we're there..

You might want to check climate data for Moab in August: It's very hot that time of year. Best time is October...
