Late today, sunny and warm though.
Wanted to plant more trees, but that area still has lots of dead Ash trees.
One of them is scary and the bark is loose.
4 of the 6 are now down, including the scary one, all 4 fell perfectly and no branches got me.
The 5th one is a hanger, but got the butt on the ground, so I will piece it down.
The 6th needs to wait for the hanger as it is right behind it.
Good news is I can plant the trees without an Ash falling on it now.
Still have a few more to take down in the lower field, but they are open area.
Got to use the thumb on the Backhoe today, so nice moving out the rounds and branches without getting off the tractor!
The scary tree was between my lower field and my neighbors house, so I couldn't let it fall by itself.
When it hit, most of the branches broke into little pieces.
I must have been a sight running in full gear , helmet and chaps.
Tomorrow is carwash to raise funds for the sons team, seems we need about $2500 to pay back the school for buses, trucks, etc.
Dad will also be here tomorrow night, so need to get the room ready for them.
Busy Busy,
BEF - like the sawhorse for painting

Toppop - sorry about the apple tree. My fig tree had a bad die off three years ago, but resprouted and is now huge. Maybe you'll be lucky too.
Stay safe and be well,
was able to save the little tree, missed by about 2"
Can see the bark is not attached on the stump pretty easy. Another clean fall between two trees.
For these dead Ash trees, I have been using a plunge cut and that solved the barberchairs I was getting,
Cherry tree seems quite happy.
