RNG and BEF, I think my problem was purely operator error. It was the first time using the PHD, and probably let it get too low before lifting. I'm using a 9" auger. I was really surprised at how fast it dug in. I'm pretty sure I was anticipating the auger just bouncing off the dirt like the handheld auger. I haven't had a chance to play with it again, hopefully it will go better next time.... I have a lot of holes to do.
Jay, the Zen garden will be an adaptation of 'real' zen gardens. Basically the 'must haves' are some type of water feature, could be a fountain, pond, stream (if we were that lucky) which is used as white noise and then an area of solitude. This could be a simple bench, rock, or comfortable chair. This area is usually surrounded by trees, flowers, bushes. We will be planning two of these areas, one facing the sunrise, the other the sunset. It will be quite a while before we get to the garden though.
I'll post a couple of pics of our current Zen area, when I get a chance tommorow.
