RNG and BEF, I think my problem was purely operator error. It was the first time using the PHD, and probably let it get too low before lifting. I'm using a 9" auger. I was really surprised at how fast it dug in. I'm pretty sure I was anticipating the auger just bouncing off the dirt like the handheld auger. I haven't had a chance to play with it again, hopefully it will go better next time.... I have a lot of holes to do.

Jay, the Zen garden will be an adaptation of 'real' zen gardens. Basically the 'must haves' are some type of water feature, could be a fountain, pond, stream (if we were that lucky) which is used as white noise and then an area of solitude. This could be a simple bench, rock, or comfortable chair. This area is usually surrounded by trees, flowers, bushes. We will be planning two of these areas, one facing the sunrise, the other the sunset. It will be quite a while before we get to the garden though.

I'll post a couple of pics of our current Zen area, when I get a chance tommorow.

Cutting out the high cholesterol foods will not hurt.

Which high cholesterol foods are you cutting out and what are you substituting them with?

Ahh, LS, I love Zen areas.

Jay, say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the wifey!

Ditto from me belated. J, I believe you're right that it is a pileated woodpecker.

46 now, 60s later, rain moving in later as well.
Did too much yesterday, mowed two lawns, one with a little Sears tractor mower. those Superman pills (steroids) had me thinking I was better than I was. Miserable night lying in semi fetal position on my left side, suffocation feeling on the right so no changing position. No work today period.

Prayers guys, have a good day.

Take it easy Superman. Get well. We don't need a re-occurrence of that crap you had before. Put the kryptonite back in the safe.

Spent plenty of time in a '57 Belair (my friend's dad's car). A 283 V8 was a bit more powerful than a 36 hp volkswagen engine.

Ok Kyle I saw you drop him off. But don’t worry I turned him around and he’s heading back to Giddings.View attachment 550596

Don, now that I have young chicken hens and a pileated woodpecker, I'm either going to cut off his lower jaw or bring him back to you.

Taken several years ago, when I thought owning one of "The Legendary Driving Machines of Germany" wasn't the PITA it turned out to be. I waited on the a-hole to come out of the store and back his truck off my hood. No damage, but it was so close I couldn't see any daylight between the two vehicles.:censored::pullinghair::muttering:

I would have called the police. Just in case there was the tiniest of scratches.

Just got cobbler #5 out of the oven. We are eating one every two days. And no, we are not gaining weight the cobblers are just fruit and oats and spices. They are an excellent breakfast and/or snack.

My Dad, before he died, changed his corn field into a coastal field. This year we found out that last years coastal did not take and my mom will have to get the field replanted again this spring. Arg.
Don, if eating naturally purple foods is good for you, you might live to 117. My buddy says he has a major problem about dewberries. Seems most end up in his mouth instead of his jar.

The chicken coop is done. It needs a bit of touch up with a small brush to meet Drew's concourse standards. I believe we will call it the chicken coupé. I made a slide out tray and lined it with some vinyl flooring.

talent on loan from God. Actually, the whole thing is piecemill. I did end up buying about $100 in lumbar and $25 in paint. Plus, I lost track of the hours. I still want to put a set of wheels on one end.
