No coffee again. 42° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 49° with cloudy skies. Feeling better today. But still under opioids. Hope get off them soon.
Good Morning All.

Glenda asked me if I had heard anything about Ron’s surgery this morning. “I’ll look on TBN and see how he’s doing” was my reply.

This is the tough part. Then it will be all down hill from there. I’m really looking forward to my surgery in November, I hope. Yesterday I did the brakes on Lucille. Replaced both rotors on the rear and new pads all around. Those 19.5’s are a little heavy with 16 plys on them. But we got it done. Glenda said I moaned and cried out all night long. I guess I’m a sissy in my sleep.

By the end of the week you should be a lot better. (Grin)

The low this morning was 22°, yesterday was in the low 40's and partly cloudy. Today is going to be mostly sunny and in the low 50's with a little wind. Quite a bet of the snow has melted. Most of it will be gone in the next day or two.

Going up this morning and help the neighbor close up his cabins for the winter. He said he would like to be on his way back to Denver by early afternoon.

Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.

Hope everyone gets a good start to the weekend.
CWB.

Lucille all jacked up. 2002 3500HD Classic with 496 cu in gas motor and an attitude when seventy year old kid climbs behind the wheel. She has 93,000 miles on her and the brakes looked original.

Some might remember Lucy, the C5500 welding rig, she was the kind of truck you marry. Lucille on the other hand is the kind you date.

Monday I was forming up for a 1 1/4 yd pour when I got a call. It was a bud who said he had some iron for me to use on our new barndominium. I called a bud close by the job site to check it out. He called me back and insisted that I grab his dual tandem gooseneck and come down and get it before some one else grabbed it.

The trip home was interesting, no CDL, 8 of overhang, gawd alone knows how much weight, 40 X 48J bar joists and 21 X 38 beams with 1/2 web. We made it but by the time I got home the brakes on Lucille were a little spongy.

The barns in the previous pics are some I worked on for my bud about ten or so years ago.

What I知 doing now is for us. I placed a 40 container that has some of my tools but is mostly full of furniture and stuff from our house in Wylie. I installed a power line down guy and anchor at each corner of the container just in case. I知 building a black smith shop on the side of the container.

I poured a 5 X 5 X 16 pad for where the power hammer is going to sit. I also poured a 16 X 10 beam along the side of the container (40?/

A pour consists of making sand and rock with Portland cement into concrete in the 9 cu ft mixer. Yeah, completely severed rotator cuff and we can still do it at seventy.

38°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 48°. It was downright chilly this morning. Supposed to get some rain later today. Should muck up the Friday drive home.

Elizabeth City, 54mph gusting to 83. Yikes. That's a gutter bender.
have been watching the edges of this storm, clicking on the little flags on wunderground.
Thankfully on the inside of the storm it looks like mostly a rain event.
I don't trust Accuwrong but other stations locally report 20-30mph winds here.
Dodged another one...if there's a third, I'm toast.
Just got off the phone with my brother in Elizabeth City and he says the highest gust was 45 mph and virtually no rain. No idea why the discrepancy.
