16 this morning and 50 now. Warm for the next few days.

Birds start leaving tomorrow night. Ordered new set of tires for wife’s Tahoe while waiting on son at therapy. Getting ready to give the boys their Christmas presents early. They are getting a trip to Disney. Next week and we’ll be home before Christmas. Orlando is forecast to have highs in the 70’s.

Happy birthday to all those celebrating. My trip around the sun will complete Sunday.

Wife has already ordered birthday present. I got to pick it out. Ended up with a 41x22 Craftsman rollaway. My first rollaway toolbox. Was on the fence with it or the harbor freight brand. But this one is a cutout style. So easier for me to reach the top trays.

Everyone stay safe with the winter wonderlands.

I think they could drop those numbers easily, by the insurance companies requiring new parts only on repairs. Those cars are going to chop shops, to be parted out. Take away the market, take away the reason for theft. SE Michigan had a crazy high rate for T top theft on cars. The insurance companies stopped buying used parts, the thefts stopped.

A few years ago, we had a big stolen car problem locally. A local gang was stealing certain model cars, removing a bunch of parts, abandoning car somewhere, buying the car for nothing at sheriff auction, then putting the parts they removed back on and selling the car for a nice profit. They even painted some of them. A friend got his car back a few years ago, only a few parts missing, he had not been paid by insurance yet, so instead of whole car, they paid for repair. He sold it soon after that..

Don, you would have had trouble getting out of your old place due to flooding.

Yes I would have probably been flooded in for a day. The pond upstream from the low water crossing was still overflowing Sunday, but the road was passable by then (2 days after the rains).

Went to Costco today and found the Cholula hot sauce in a mega 2 (12 oz) pack and pick it up for $7.49. The regular size bottle is 5oz. (so about half price) The Cholula Chipotle flavor is better because it has that smokey BBQ flavor and a secret ingredient - sugar, about as much as catsup. The original is also a bit hotter but no so hot that the flavor disappears with the slight burn and it has no added sugar.

FWIW, Amazon has half gallons available, and yes, I've purchased several. I use that chipotle flavor on the jerky that little rat dog stole from my room while evacuated. I looked all over the house for it, and have a hard time beliveing the little b****** ate it all. If he did, I hope it gives him the hots all the way through. That roast was over twenty bux!

Wow Buppies, looks like mid winter in New England. The little that fell here is stubborn about leaving.

Doctor visit was good, have to get bloodwork done yet, got an update on my kidney decline and aorta stenosis. Looks pretty good for the mid term at least.

Back from Dr's. Good news. Tests are back to normal levels.

Good to hear some good health visits are going on.

The good news is I figured out what I was doing wrong with the speedo pulse frequency box and was able to fix the ignition cutout problem. My first clue that I was onto something was when the van cutout at 5 MPH in the driveway! By the time I got to the main highway, I had it tuned pretty closely, and two more stops had it right on. Turns out I had to hit the reset switch after each adjustment, and I was leaving it in the adjust position. That wasn't mentioned anywhere in the instructions.:eek With that fixed, the van saw 80 MPH for the first time, and still had pedal to go...:D
.

OMG, if you go too fast, you're going to stir up all the soot and dust and the firemen will think another fire has started.... ;)

I got a good chuckle out of this. You need to take him some of the really hot stuff to pay him back.

Glad to read all the good Dr visit reports

Good day here in spite of rain.
Managed a bit of mowing while waiting for mud pit to dry a bit, then later in afternoon got another 10x3 section of form built and mostly in place, just a bit more digging, tie into other form section and stabilize.

good morning all. full day of visits, neck is really bothering me, mostly from not wearing my soft collar enough. Have to backtrack my steps today, left one of my coats at last night's dinner stop. Good friend is battling Parkinsons and it was hard to see my friend struggle so. Ten years so far, finally having to wrap up his business and work out of his home. Can't use power tools any more, but can still do many other things.
Thankfully no dementia. I was on a school board for six years with his wife, I can see the strain in her too.
All I could do was give them my best hug.

Mostly, wow, 6000 miles, that's from shore to shore and back and again. Very impressive.

30 degrees here in Eastern PA, 28 degrees at home, bit of reverse.

Big day today, dinner with inlaws in memory of my late wife, just turned five years since she passed.
Told my friends last night to help me find a wife, as he was showing me his Kubota MX5100 and backhoe.
So we talked tractors and motorhomes. So here's a really bright safe guy with Parkinsons wondering how much longer he can drive his tractor. We tried to talk about other things...like how complicated my Audi was when his wife was about to get a new Q7 SUV and I'm explaining my nutso cruise control.
