Good for you, Randy
Sad in a way, nice in others, but wife told me a few years back to quit buying her things, like jewelry etc as she had enough and as she didnt work didn’t feel a need to wear. After she got her almost 3 carat finger adornment I think she feels content. I will surprise her with a new weedeater etc, but i guess the point is she (we) basically have what we need and while gifting is nice we kinda practical for the most part. We tell the kids a nice card and the thoughts are what counts.
That said, I’d get her anything I thought she’d truly enjoy getting.
My wife was a car gal, she loved them. I had my 67 Impala SS and she wanted her own toy. The Z28 was the only truly expensive gift ever and she likely earned more of the money that bought it than I did. She was a doctor I was a lowly upholsterer. I wasn’t bragging hope it didn’t sound that way. I once bought her a leaf blower. My wife never asked for or expected fancy things though Lord knows she deserved them. I was teasing Randy about the watch.
