good morning all.
72 going to 96 today, which probably means in the hundreds, and high nineties until end of week when weather cools off.
Will spend most of day watering. Lawn is toast ,no need to mow or trim that. We haven't had rain in over three weeks, very strange.

headed to food pantry with veggies picked yesterday, then supermarket to fill empty fridge.

Like Buppies, my own bed sure felt good last night.
Hope you all start this week feeling better.

40 °F and going to a high of 59. Wind SSE 11 mph. Rain.

A relatively uneventful day yesterday. I did get the heavy screen up on the outside of the kitchen window. The cats used to go in and out that window, but now that they are 'indoor cats' they will get to lay on the window sill and still enjoy the fresh air and not become predator food.

I was going to cut the grass again today, but with the rain it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Today will be a conserve energy day.

Have a good day all

First cup of coffee has been poured. 58° with light fog this morning. Heading to 73° with cloudy skies. No plans for today. My Work Tunes headphones died while cutting lawn yesterday. Replacement should be delivered today.

Drew, wish we could send some rain your way. Flooding just north of us. Lots of flooding in OK, AR and other area's East of there.

Like all the pictures posted.

May the best of your today be the worst of your tomorrow.

Good Morning All.

67 and light showers just started. Should see 93 today.

Got only .08 inches of rain last night but it was very welcome and did a lot of good.

Eric, the Chelsea show looks fabulous.

Jay, I'm with you on recent frustrations with the grease gun. I only have 2 cheapo K-mart or Walmart models and seem to be using them a lot more now that I have the Zero turn. I need to learn from you guys a good solution...I forgot the brand that Eric sleeps with every night :). When I greased the Zero last week, I had to replace 2 zerks...one had apparently vibrated off the mower pulley and the other was jammed beyond my ability to tap it open, so of course grease went very where on the 4 attempts before giving up and replacing.

RNG, ever heard of Dave Phelps? Just read an article...he restores Westphalias...Moved his business from Tahoe to Santa Cruz and hired a couple helpers...Outwesty Camper Vans.

Good morning! 70s to low 90s cloudy. Weather is almost getting boring.

Won 3 out of 5 card games last night so I probably did not move up much in the ranking system - I'm at 45 now. (out of 75 - but they had a head start)

Fire Wise clearing this morning - looks like we will finally NOT get rained out.

Drew, you have constantly been hotter and drier than Texas.

Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 4:30AM. Sunshine and a few afternoon clouds. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 83F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

It looked like rain most of the day yesterday, and made good the threat several times but only ended up dropping 0.03" according to the rain gauge. Skies cleared by evening, and I was able to enjoy a nice sit on the patio listening to music while the smoke from a mosquito coil hid me from the biters.

Dave Phelps, Wng, was the 2nd place driver at the Syncro Fest competition last month. Some say he should have been DNFed when a shifting problem caused him to abandon his first run, but he was able to make an adjustment and wheedle another try from the authorities. Doesn't he also run a rental business, too? I think he was the fellow that opened the Van Cafe warehouse next to him so I could pick up the awning I purchased a couple years ago. That was when the Santa Cruz Van Cafe was closing down and trying to reduce inventory for the pending move to Fort Collins, so I got a smokin' deal on the price.:D

Three out of five is still above average, Don!

Glad all of you that traveled over the holiday made it home safe and sound. There was a "zero tolerance" enforcement of the drunk driving laws here, and hundreds state wide now have big legal troubles to deal with. Good to get them off the road, but wish people would just quit trying to get away with it to begin with.
UPDATE: 973 DUI citations were issued over the holiday weekend!

Took a step back on the center stand problem and realized it was hitting a decorative shield on the muffler. Drilled out four pop rivets to remove the shield and presto, no more interference. Trimmed the shield installed four new pop rivets, problem solved. Welded up all the unused holes in the mounting bracket and gave it a nice coat of paint, so should have it all back together today. Also figured out how the fuel tank mounts and tool tray could co-exist, and am left with a bit of wrestling and head scratching on getting the seat to latch. Funny, I had all that working before the fire; no idea what changed that it doesn't fit now. :confused2:

Noticed several LARGE star thistle plants along the driveway when I went to pick up the trash can yesterday, and found that Tractor Supply was having a sale on glyphosate. Got enough to spray out the open areas, so I'll pick that up next trip into town. Also ordered a filter kit for the tractor, and put SUDT fluid on the shopping list at the Kubota dealer. I see the stuff is up over $100 for a 5 gallon pail now, and the tractor uses 11 gallons of the stuff.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start. At least it's a day shorter...

Caught this flotilla heading down stream yesterday. The wet weather had them running very late this year, as they usually have the wood roundup done before the boaters hit the lake on Memorial Day weekend. The rain kept most boaters home, so it didn't make much difference, but I don't ever recall seeing them towing four separate rafts like that before. They ended up temporarily moored on that far bank in the photo; they'll eventually drag them up a side canyon where the wood will ground itself when the water level recedes during the summer. It would be nice if they picked a spot where folks needing firewood could come and collect it; it would get it out of the lake and firewood's not as cheap as it used to be...
