Good morning!!!!

71°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 87° today.

Haven't been on here since Wednesday morning, so I had a bit of reading to catch up. Had 4-1/2 days off, and had to remember how to get up and go to work today. Got a lot of little things checked of the honey-do list, and got to spend a fare amount of time in my studio. Win/win.

Congrats on the new tractor, David. Looks nice.

Hope Randy is enjoying time with his new bride.

Kioti is a Korean tractor, RNG, but they are a different company than LS. LS/Mtron is a division of LG, and Kioti is a division of Daedong. I've heard and read good things about Kioti. I know Woods makes their branded rotary cutters for them. I wanted to look at them when we were shopping, but there were no dealers near me back then.

Cat fever, Do you have square bales or 4’ or 5’ round bales? We do not sell ours by the ton, only by the bale. How many bales did you make?

76 and sunny here today turned off the air conditioning and opened all the windows airing out the house.
Looks like it was a good weekend lots of interesting reading today.
Wife just informed me that I'll have about 6 ton of decorative stone to shovel tomorrow after it's delivered to the lake. Wish I had a trailer for the John Deere. Better check tire pressure on the wheelbarrow.

PJ is correct.
I’ve had my Kioti CK30hst since 2005, no complaints at all, been a great machine. Kioti was a serious contender for my upgrade. unfortunately the only 2 dealers in Hawaii are on Maui and Oahu. Neither had inventory which meant I’d pay a premium to order and then additional shipping to here. I reasoned the LS and Kioti to be comparable and far better tractor for $$ value than the other colors.
I maintained the Kioti myself and bought it knowing I wouldn’t have local dealer support. TBN Kioti people have been great.

I have square 3X4 bales. I made 98 bales this first cut. We sell by the bale or ton. But most are getting 20-25 tons. I only have 14 bales left to sell. I'm hoping they are gone this week. Here's a load going out, taking 24 tons all together.

RNG it does seem like there should be a better way to make a FEL so it does Not require grease every 5 hours and still wears down.

There is, and it uses replaceable bushes and pins, but it seems like you have to buy a construction grade tractor to get that feature. And you're right, having to grease the FEL every 5 - 10 hours is a messy PITA.

I'm also more than a little concerned about the durability of the loader mounts used on the S. Korean brands. Like the Kubota mount I've had so much trouble with, they use tall, relatively thin uprights that don't have much lateral stiffness. That means they flex a LOT when the bucket is loaded and I'm traversing side hills, which I do everywhere I go on this property. All that flexing leads to fatigue failure, and that's an expensive repair. So I'm looking at mounts that use rectangular or C section forgings or fabrications, and so far, the Deere FELs are the only ones I've found. When I'm in town this week, I'll drop by the Deere dealer and see what they have. The 4052R has some nice features, and I'd like to see one in person, and test drive it, before I rule it out on price alone.

very cool pictures David, in fact a bit icey...
3 cruise ships in that port at once must have been all that town could take.

worked very hard today, picked veggies for almost two hours, then cleaned and packed them for another two.
It's a big week, lots of okra, tomatoes, peppers, squash and melons. Peppers are pretty colors but I find if I wait until they turn
color completely they rot first, or get soft in the high heat.

then chopped up some of these tomatoes and peppers and made myself a nice veggie pizza.
