Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!

An overcast 43ºF for today’s low, an overcast 44ºF presently with rain just starting to make its presence known; and I anticipate a rainy afternoon with high temperature in the high 40ºF’s - low 50ºF’s. We need the rain. I think today will become (after scheduled service on the Forester) a movie matinee and early bird special kind of day. Brogen AKA Droolius Barkus
decided to become a very agitated and loud watchdog early this AM.

Claye- Thanks for sharing your Fall snow picture. I much prefer cold weather to hot. Hot for me = a wimpy 75ºF. :embarrassed:

Drew- Nice job on your deck. I am sorry to read that your delivery guy’s bad day became yours :(

DABSGT- Thanks for sharing your snake. I saw very few around here this year. Based on their sheds in our cellar I believe that most of our resident snakes are all holed up and hibernating. I got another ICD code # following my “Daily Double” = hiatal hernia which helps explain some things.

Randy- I hope that you and Ellen find that “dream home” soon.

David- Thank you for the link and sharing your newest project.

“…. PJ, BIL/SIL never bothered with the wolf spiders, said they eat Brown Recluse spider.”- Bruce. I actually enjoy watching arachnoid battles (maybe indicative of underlying “issues”) I am sorry that I missed the carnage of the funnel weaver spider taking on those two daddy long legs here the other day. There were DLL parts everywhere in the tub.

Don- Congratulations on the new truck. I hope you see many uneventful miles together.

“… Leaves starting fall more and more now more so with wind and rain combo.”- Thomas The same thing is going on here and there has been very little Fall color around here this year so far. Congratulations on making your retirement,

“…. Jay ..... sorry you had issues with the idiots over on FP. If you upset them, they'll take things you say here and try to use as insults over there. It's always the same ones, you can count on it. If you play over there .... make sure you put on your big boy pants. One of them ... posts here occasionally, another used to, and the others just lurk over here. I just treat it as “sport”.”- Rick Thanks for the + and your observations. You confirmed my suspicions. I already knew what would probably happen when I fed into their infantile BS with their primitive and regressive coping strategies driven by ego, testosterone, and feelings of inadequacy. I suspect that I’ll be illuminated for a while on TBN.

Try running “group therapy” sessions in a “nut house.”:cool: I worked with fixated psychotic-delusional-dementing-"normal" individuals in total (mostly) secure institutions most of my professional life. When one starts waisting personal energy trying to interact with these immobilized individuals what has one really become? Some individuals just need to have their manties in a bunch continuously.

Roy- Take care.

Drew- You really do know your psych stuff. Your professors should be proud. I am/can be guilty of intellectualization, rationalization, and at times denial when it comes to making better health and lifestyle choices, but I am working on my “stuff.”

I hope that everyone is having a decent day today; pain and stress free.

My + thoughts and prayers.

off to finish the porch. Including repainting about ten boot prints...
I can just imagine the guy's eyes when he got up to the door and realized he was
walking in wet paint, that Oh Stuff moment, as he turned and then left the package
not in the wet paint but on the previously painted steps.
I take some responsibility here. I did not take the time to do what I did three years ago, putting
the paint can between the two orange safety cones.
Apparently that is what's needed to turn the light bulb on.

didn't stop the barber in time, wiped me down with some smelly stuff on a towel,
geez I hate that. Just makes me bug bait.

Even if you'd made a "Wet Paint" sign and posted it Drew, it prolly wouldn't have made any difference. I have instructions posted on an industrial "Knack" box at the end of my driveway, identifying it as a drop box for parcels, and letting delivery types know how to lock it. I still get packages thrown behind the gate, left in plain site of anyone wandering by, and many times the bolt on the lock isn't even engaged in the hasp to secure it. Part of the problem are the schedules these folks are forced to meet, but I think the biggest problem is that most don't give a rip what happens to the package as long as they get rid of it somehow. Just last week an OnTrac driver left a tire I'd ordered at some business, instead of delivering it here. After i complained, it showed up the next day. Earlier this year I had to drive 35 miles to meet another one of their drivers because I was told they don't deliver to this address.

As far as the smelly stuff, my barber at least asks before splashing on the Bay Rum, and I politely turn him down every time. I guess I don't get my hair cut often enough for him to remember?

FWIW, my '85 Ranger cost me a whopping $5500 out the door. I bet they've gone up a little since then, huh?

lol that was my discounts.

BEF I had same problem with the link. I’m getting the windows tinted now so an updated photo is needed here. That link worked last night on the laptop but not today on my iPhone.???

".... didn't stop the barber in time, wiped me down with some smelly stuff on a towel,

Off/on rain so far today and it looks like the rain will be continuing. I guess a movie and dinner out are in our plans today.

I saw the "elevation dependent snow" describing the (really longterm) models for the NE CONUS ~ 2 weeks out today. This particular weather geek has been pretty good at weather prognostications in the past. It's way to early to start the NE snow hype machine.

rough night with back pain, couldn't find a comfortable position...

Had lots of those nights in hospital and rehab beds. Know what that’s like. Hope it gets better for you.

Haven’t been able to watch dish tv since the leaves came out. Trees got too big.
Son is going to help me move it. Going to bolt bracket to basement foundation on garage, past the trees.

Went to lowes, they didn’t carry any 5/16 concrete wedge anchor bolts like I prefer, but did have sleeve anchors.

Just walking into front of lowes, getting anchors and walking out did me in. I should have grabbed one of the power chairs. Wasn’t sure my legs would hold me up to get back to car.

tried a food truck bbq place for lunch, not bad bbq but the baked beans were campbells straight from the can.

Waiting for PT guy to come write up his report and dismiss me from home health.

Nice truck Don, nice porch Drew.
My son bought a new Tacoma in 2017, he was torn between it and a Colorado. I would have gone with the Colorado hands down due to content, horsepower and other considerations. My best friend bought a Canyon about a year ago, his has 308 horsepower and an 8 speed transmission. Nice driving truck, but like all the others too expensive for me.

Sitting on the deck in a very fine drizzle. I can feel it but don’t see much on my screen. 74 vs 96 yesterday.

We are invited to a friend’s soft opening of a Bayou style bistro tonight, guess we will check it out.

Got my high dose flu and over 65 pneumonia shot yesterday so I’m a little draggy today. Innards are a little iffy, hope that clears before tonight.

Looks like I need a new anemometer for my weather station, if it doesn’t cost more than the whole unit. Mine has become directionally challenged.

Good day and God bless.
