38 right now...high in the lower 50's and a bit of rain.

Audit went good...2 pretty insignificant minor findings. I'm off for a couple mental health days...so, no work until next Monday

Roy, I'm saying a little prayer for you. Like Don said, the anxiety can be bad. Hope for the better. Glad you got it checked out.

Not a bad idea.:steeringwheel:

The new house bill that passed this summer requires golf carts and Utility Vehicles to have license plates. Tractors still get a pass. Rick, Kyle, Mostly did you have your plates?
House Bill (HB) 1548 Off-Highway Vehicles | TxDMV Message Archive

They have not started here in this county and the way I read it it is just $10 and does not require it to be renewed yearly. I wonder what size the plates will be, like a motorcycle or a vehicle?

Will have to check on that Don.

Thomas, Congrats!

Prayers for our team.

2 of my kids are getting to go to the Albuquerque Balloon Festival this weekend.

Prayers for our team.

David Sodamo, thanks for taking the time to explain the toils of long term care/SS disability.

CWB, keep that up there, but we would take some 70F air.

.

With thousands of golf carts in our community on public roads I'm sure we will be the first to have to comply. Our neighborhood rep spoke with the DMV and they had not heard any thing yet and the PD will not enforce anything until the DMV gets with the program. I'll let you know when we make our move, but you might want to ask my cousin in the tax office if they have any word for your county.
Yes Ron I have cousins everywhere.

I know, it sucks.

I got my dish moved today to a temporary spot , with wife’s help, to look under a tree instead of going over. Got a 37 signal strength, enough for tbs to come in in HD. So got a game on.

Didn’t have a 5/16 concrete bit to mount on garages wall away from tree. Ordered one on amazon. Will need longer RG6 also, robbed a short piece to get to this spot.

No more home PT. Have outpatient PT evaluation next tue.

Today’s walking wore me out.

Thanks David. I was hoping for less wide angle to get a closer view of pallet fork tips, etc.

Me too, will have to play with location when I have bucket/forks on

Good evening all. 72F this morning, clear, light wind. Wind was light all day, mostly clear sky, less humid, and high temp was 94F HI 99. Slow start, did some computer work for taxes, then went out and split wood for 1.5 hours. Had hope to get a new garbage disposal installed for wifey but could get going after nap then Cardinal playoff game came on, went down to the last batter but STL won. Forecast has a high od 64F week from Friday, gotta get the wood split!
Don nice truck, looking forward to more pics, On my F-150 there is a 12 volt and a 110 volt plug dead center of the dash. We have private roads here, not sure if I will bother with plates for cart, thanks for the information.
Phil enjoy being a short timer and the car show.
Roy, enjoy your time off, hope you get to the bottom of your episode.
Buckeye thanks for info on useing the scanner, may play around with that this winter.
RNG are there "deadman" in the taller wall, the blocks we used needed "deadman" after 4 feet of height. Nice looking wall.
Thomas congrats on getting through the day, and on becoming retired.
prayers for all.

Good morning all. Rain has stopped, but I reckon it's another ploy by the pesky weather. I can see from the radar map clouds lurking just far enough away to almost tempt me to go out without waterproof trousers (pants).

Thomas, slow roll out of bed today, or eager to get up and see what Boo Boo and the rest of the critters get up to while you have been working ? Whatever you do with your time, hope you enjoy a long and very pleasurable retirement.

still cooling off from yesterday, temps down to 74 and back up to 89 today.
Start of a cooling trend, probably already getting to some of you.
Things seem to come here last...

Up too early, have been reading a book for awhile.
Store doesn't open to 7, still dark out, though I suppose
I could turn the porch lights on and put the furniture away.
Hopefully bugs will go to light instead of me...

RNG, is that fuzzy beige grass at your place the natural groundcover? Looks like it would burn super easily.
Perhaps time to investigate flame retardant shrubbery...
You continue to improve your place, nice to see and learn from.

I learned a new word today. Though a long, long time ago I know I must have read it once or twice.

Spelling Bee Tickets

oops, link is to tickets only, can't copy rest

Humorously it was part of a Community Spelling Bee marketing piece. I was President of this little library for a number of years, and
my Uncle established a small endowment there. Biggest problem, which remains today, is that library is in a beautiful old small church, which
of course is a maintenance nightmare, with a steeple, and they have been trying to find a new home for twenty years. Real estate is too expensive,
even though demand for library services is at all time high. They have adapted with the times, loaning library for all kinds of things.
I had to chuckle at this announcement, my only claim to fame winning anything ever was winning the High School spelling bee. I can thank
my parents doing the NY Times crossword puzzle every Sunday morning. It's where I learned what an emu was. Three letters for...

btw...a smackerel in case you haven't already looked it up is the amount of honey Winnie the Pooh gets each time he dips into the honey jar.

busy day today, more mowing and then moving implements around with help of neighbor to make room for rv under tall shed. That will set off a domino
of jobs requiring moving all kinds of other stuff out from under sheds and trying to rearrange more efficiently. Much of which is long overdue.

hope you all have a nice day. Particularly Thomas.

Mid 70s and cloudy just like yesterday, sun later, mid 60s tomorrow for a taste of fall. 72 and breezy now.
My knees are still sore, it’s really holding me back, ortho doc says it could take 6 months to get back to normal. I’m impatient.
Prayers for all.

Good morning! Mid 70s to mid 90's and repeat.

I continue to learn the new truck after being out of the truck market for 11 years.
"S" is the new "L". I learned that yesterday. The "L" Low gears on the gear selection shifter is now "S" for sport gear. It shifts in a non economy way.
There is a trailer button to push when towing a trailer - it stays in the lower gears longer - I'm wondering how this is different than the "S" gear?
The 110 plug is on the center console in and facing the back seat.
If I touch the button on the side of the shifter 10 numbers appear by the speedometer and the gear I'm in is highlighted.
There is an analog and digital speedometer and a digital tachometer available through the menus but then you loose your digital speedometer.
Tire pressure is shown for each tire.
If I'm taking a left hand turn through an intersection and the oncoming traffic is taking their left hand turn the safety technology panics and predicts a crash the dash turns flashing red and the alarms go off.
The buttons on the sun visor are programed to open the garage door.
There is a AS1 line on the side of every windshield were you can put dark tint above, which I did.
My wife enjoys driving the truck WAY TOO MUCH - she likes bells and whistles.

Hitting the wilderness early. We will be in waist high grass/weeds so it's a snake boot day as we mark the new hiking trail. I was just about to give my snake boots to Goodwill when we moved thinking I would never have to wear those again. But I'm too frugal and after I remembered how much I paid for them I could not let them depart, good thing.
