Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #99,931
Good evening all. 65F for the start, overcast, light wind, no rain. Another light wind day, clouds thinned out during the day and high temp was 88F HI 94F. Slow start to day, bike ride, after nap, trip to town to run errands, and pick up dinner. Change over bikes for tomorrows ride after dinner.
Don at least on the F-150 tow mode makes changes to the engine control program, as well as the trannie program. Worked well towing boat to Bull Shoals and back through the Boston Mountains (900 m 1 way).
RNG we got info from block company from Lowes late 90's, front wall not tall enough, wife decided rear wall to be done professionally, not done as well, stepson and I redo rear wall add deadman and cut steps up to the level behind wall. Hope spoofer works nice to hear red bike back up and running.
Billy sorry to hear about wife's father prayers for family
Kyle, I remember watching the Cards 67 & 68 but it was from Busch stadium :)

Will sink in in stages. Today was only the first on many firsts to come.

...1st non payday
...1st non Holiday
...1st non sick day
...1st non vacation vacation
...1st time you truly don’t know what day of the week it is
...1st time you’re certain it’s Saturday, but find out it isn’t.
...1st time you don’t finish something and realize it doesn’t matter, there’s tomorrow

Just a start, I’m sure others can add.

I’ve hit most of these being out on disability. Lol

I email the boss asking if there was some work I can do from home.

Yankees 3 outs away from a win.

My Whirlpool refrigerator just stop making ice. I notice it low this morning and it did not fill up any all day. The water flow is fine and the water filter was replaced about a month ago. Any suggestions, you tube search was fruitless.

This type of in the freezer door ice maker:View attachment 623660

That looks just like the door on my Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator, Don. I wish you every success in sorting it out, so I can follow in your footsteps should, or maybe when, I ever need to.

If I were in your shoes, I'd google for "Whirlpool your-model-number ice maker" and see what comes up. From what I can gather, the ice makers are the thorn in the side of most refrigerator manufacturers these days.

Spoken, er, written, like a true retiree, David!

Now Thomas has a new boss. If his is anything like mine, he'll never be satisfied with the quality of his work, how much he's getting paid, or how long it took him to get it done. And then he'll realize he's working for himself, and maybe cut himself a little slack. But it sounds like his gal is already giving him the right kind of guidance in that department.

Wait a sec, you are the most patient person I know. Your blue project comes to mind.:D

No ticks, chiggers, or snakes this week.

My blue project rejected both my attempts to assuage the error code gods today, thus stretching my patience to new limits. I have a tough time dealing with the shortfalls of people I misplace confidence in, that portray themselves as experts, only to show by their failings that they know somewhat less than they think. Narcissist is the term that comes to mind, and I hope there's a special place in He11 reserved for those folks. Over and over in my former life as a programmer, and then as a software analyst and project manager, I saw people that never bothered to error check, or even run, their own code, in even a half a$$ed attempt to determine if it would work. I see no signs that the situation has improved, in fact, it seems to be getting worse. A while back I learned that Microsoft was branching out into writing software for the automakers, and I saw it as yet another sign of the approaching apocalypse. They, above all other companies, seem to specialize in letting their users beta test code that should have already been debugged in house. I hope none of that miserable excuse for software made it into your new Ranger.

Back at work today, and apparently everything fell apart while I was gone. Seems no one wants to admit to being able to read a part drawing to approve anything while I'm gone, and they let a part sit for another day, one that the customer has already been upset about shipping being late (sigh). The woman in the upstairs office who does all the production scheduling put in her two-week notice yesterday, and the machining department supervisor put in his this morning. Someone suggested I not take off any more days for awhile.

That's what happens when you do too good a job. :D Sometimes it pays to screw up once in a while, just to remind management that their most valuable asset is the people that they supervise. But if you decide not to go that route, at review time, you'll have a stronger case for asking for more money, or even a promotion. Not that you'd ever do it, but keeping an eye on the job market will give you a good idea what you're really worth, and what other opportunities might be available for someone with your considerable talents. But you're probably all over that kind of stuff, right?:eek:

Nothing's impossible for the man wearing the right flip flops! Atta boy, David!

But your heroics beg the question: What make and model is that generator, why are you replacing it, and with what?

Said the man about to blow a big wad on a new generator himself.
