Good morning. It is 45 and raining here. First day of deer (rifle) and have been hearing some shooting. Can't imagine too many people out there in this miserable weather. Schools are closed till tomorrow due to so many kids taking opening day off anyway. Have a good week all.

We have had years when it snowed before Halloween, and pretty much stayed cold until March. A few years back, our last frost was June 4. The weather guys were saying that this winter would be snowier and colder than normal. I guess they aren't always right.

Here in mid Michigan, between the lakes, we often go a week at a time without seeing the sun. I read years back, that Flint, about 50 miles away from here, had the least sun of any city of it's size in the continental US.

I grew up in Portland, OR and felt like I would go MONTHS without seeing the sun in Dec. to Mar. timeframe.

There was a joke round about mid-June "Q: What's that big orange UFO in he sky!!!! A: The SUN!"

31 here, rained most of last night and the forecast calls for the same dreary, overcast climate for the next few days. Oh well I am grateful for what was probably the mildest fall we have had in close to 25 years.

60 Degrees. We are already at the high for the day. 70% chance of rain so it will get wet today, but then it will be dry all but one of the next 9 days according to forecast.

Maybe I can get started on the temporary horse fence...

Up at 0450, I'm way past needing my 2nd cup of joe...

I've been trying to change my "S" Corp from NAICS "Science & Technical Consulting" to something forestry/agriculture related and cannot find the right code.

I have a USELESS disc, plow, and bush hog, want to take them in trade? BTW, considering all the snow that fell in your area last year, you may find those snowmobiles USEFUL this winter.

News flash just came on TV a minute ago, they have a winter storm watch for this area now...we will see about that. Updates will be provided if required.

Good Morning all. It's 5:44 AM right now and the temp is 35 F supposed to rise to 49 F.

Just went outside to get some more wood for the stove.

It's supposed to be 55 F out tomorrow but windy AGAIN curse you wind. We've had enough of that awful wind for awhile. The other day it blew three sheets of tin I had sitting on the ground, out into a neighbors wheat field.

That was fun trying to pick those up and carry them back to the yard all while the wind was blowing 50 MPH. It was trying to make me a human kite. :laughing:

30 F and a slight warming trend underway to the mid 50s, but supposed to be windy today. I got a bit more excavation done on my pond yesterday and will continue today. Good luck to you folks with winter storms. Our weatherman last night showed some snow flurries in NE AL, NW GA, and SO TN. It may not have stuck, but there was snow showing on the weather map.
