Happy Dad's Day to all Dads!

If you are not a Dad (yet) I hope you have a good Dad & go do something with him today, not just flipping dinner in a restaurant. Go hang out, go work on the car/tractor/boat/etc.

Love is a VERB, it is what we DO not what we SAY. Especially with Men. We NEED to DO things....

Got to go make a couple posothern othe threads & get ready for Church.

PS the Mossflower Woods Bird sanctuary grew yesterday.Cecil, a 10 year old neglected Cockatiel (spellcheck can't find it either) moved in. My daughters are ecstatic...

Drank both cup of coffee before I remembered to give a weather report. 69 degrees this morning with light rain showers. Heading to 81 with a possibly of some thunderstorms.

My son and his family are coming over to cook us breakfast. Should be a good day.

Sunny breaks today with a high close to 70F. Not much rain here yesterday but some areas did get a fair amount.

MossflowerWoods, those Cockatiels can live for 30 plus years. Sounds like it will have a good home with the girls looking after it. We have one the we inherited from my late mother in law, think it must be 20 + years old.

69 and was heavily overcast here .... sun is trying to peek out now. Had a couple minute long heavy downpour here about 30 minutes ago .... it's good - we need the rain.

However, I have about 10 gallons of Roundup/2,4-D in the sprayer tank at the moment which I'd like to get rid of. I was spraying last evening and the accessory plug on the power cord for the pump had a meltdown and quit working .... I picked up a plug to repair it, but any spraying ain't gonna happen until the likelihood of rain is out of the picture.

Did manage to get the oil changed in the B2910 last night and greased the speed pedal and mower deck lift. Still need to change the oil in the MMM gearbox.

The highlight of yesterday evening's excitement was finding out a family of coyotes have made a den on the edge of our backyard - saw two of the pups out playing last night around dusk .... they were about the size of a very large cats or small dogs ....

I really don't mind the wildlife (much :laughing

.... but I have a feeling that with our two cats, that try to sneak out of the house at every opportunity, I'm not gonna be happy about this ....

86 here now, very muggy. Got a sprinkle of rain for a few minutes earlier this morning but it didn't last long. Darn. I have been out spreading mulch on my garden plot for the last two hours.
