Welcome to Monday. Same weather as yesterday. Hazy, hot, humid and chance of thnderstorms. I did not quite finish the trim work last night, ran out of light again.

I got sideswiped this AM by a tractor trailor on the interstate doing 65mph. Sheesh, I am happy to be here.

Actually, being a morning person, I was fine with the early days...however, my wife and dog don't miss 'em! Especially the dog!

77* here, going to 97*. I got an unexpected pop up storm, last night. Put 0.6" of rain in the gauge! Lots of wind, but using the flashlight this morning, I don't see any damage. Daylight will show the full picture. I am thrilled for the rain. Now, maybe I can do another rain dance, and get a repeat! :laughing: :cool2:

Morning all. Sunny, 81 with 88% humidity. Forecast is for high of 93 with 30% chance of rain. We had some thunder just before dark, but the rain stayed to the west of us. Lost two cantaloupes to coons[?]. Put a slice in the live trap but it was empty this morning. I worry about them starting on the melons. There are just a handful of cantaloupes left, and none of them very big.

My new car is coming in today between 11 and 1, so a trip to the courthouse is in store before work. Called my coworker early to ask if he would drive my truck home for me. Maybe I can get it all done and get to work on time.

Went to a local Steam and Gas engine show on Saturday and found this little gem there. The guy who made this has more time on his hands than I would ever have:ashamed:. It's a replica of an Allis Chalmers WD45.:thumbsup: The last picture is the replica beside the real WD45.

MG, I have to kill a couple of possums a year that get in the cat food. They don't have the sense to run.

First thing I do when I wake up is raise the bedroom blinds. This little fellow was just outside the backyard in the edge of the longleafs. Midas was checking him out, but didn't give any ground as the deer came around the end of the dog yard.

That guy has some skills! We have a local guy who shows a 1/3 scale Case steam tractor, it was built by his dad. Beautiful work!
