Seven to eight inches of drifting snow here overnight and this morning....I am getting TIRED of winter...do four of my neighbors driveways in addition to mine and I am going to set a record for operating hours this winter.......!!!!!!

I did set a record this year,never plowed so much.we had snow every day for 30 day.

power came back on after seven hours off. And I'm sure something else will fall down tonight and do it again.
Thank goodness the temps have stayed above freezing today and will let the bushes try to spring back a little.

the hospital still doesn't have any power in the wing my hand surgeon works out of.
oh well. One would think they would have an alternative external power in for one of those large generator trailers.
Like a water hydrant going into a building from outside, hooked up to the sprinklers system.
so the gen goes down, the computers go down, no medicine is transacted.
and everyone is calling to reschedule and none of us can get through; the phones are constantly busy, maybe due to wide area
disruption. The weather is bad enough, this lack of hospital power is just insult to injury. As the very nice lady who finally answered one extension
at the hospital told me "it's pretty chaotic here". Glad I'm home and not in a rush.

Drew - I like you think of Sanibel Island very often...I really miss it...Folks who've never been there cannot imagine the variety of shells on the beautiful beach and the blue water....I sure wish you would not have mentioned Sanibel ....LOL

Ice gone partly cloudy skies high in 50s but will be colder tomorrow. A little more winter weather this weekend then lots of storms for next week and temperatures are not going to warm up as previously thought. Pattern is reloading now and cold and wintery type weather thru mid March now on the horizon. May be wrong but do not think so. Plus one for ground hog

Yeah, our boxer has that problem when the snow gets deep...more with peeing then taking a crap. Like any female, she squats to pee and that doesn't make her happy if the snow is deep. Her solution...pee on the deck.

Well, we got a bit more then predicted...about 10". I plowed my drive and our neighbor's drive (with the Gator), then shoveled the front walk and deck in the back of the house.
Drive to work wasn't too bad...drive home was a *****! I-89 wasn't cleared at all so it was pretty slow going. Vermont likes to spend it's tax dollars on non-essential stuff like coddling junkies.

Good evening all. Got plenty snow yesterday probably 6-8 in. Hydraulic on tractor were almost non-existent made driveway clearing difficult to say the least. Made into work today, after the driveway was cleared, was easy. Tractor in garage to thaw out and I can clean the sump screen.

17*F and the snow has pretty much ended. We got about 10", town nearby reported 9.5". No rain or sleet :cool2: just a plain old snow fall finally.

Sorry for you who did get the icing, looks like quite a mess in a band running from MS to PA.

29 this morning high of 40 later today. Only chance of light snow for weekend, but next month looks very interesting and those in California will be getting some much needed rain with mountain snows

hmmm, that sounds like fun to download on my kindle for the rv trip...
and I've never been to Sanibel, but friends have. Actually I'd like to spend several weeks there, then move up the Gulf Coast
once a month to a new place. But I bet they would be full....high season.
the rates per month are cheaper, but per season is the cheapest, but not sure I want to stay in any place for months at a time.
I do love to explore...
and I think beach bunnies will be a nice change from snow bunnies.

Larro, could you buy a place at the beach please with a huge parking lot? Don't forget the 30 amp receptacle.
Actually make that two receptacles. Ron might want to come visit... :thumbsup:
