Good Morning. 0845, sunny, 82F with 94% humidity. Forecast high of 93F with 61% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, and a low of 70F tonight.

I have my weight lifting behind me, and as soon as I eat breakfast, the garden awaits. The pepper, squash, green beans and maybe even a few tomatoes need picking. I may transplant another row of peppers or tomatoes too. I have more than I need, but they look so good just sitting there in the cups, I hate for them to go to waste.

Drew, I have a couple of spots that need taking off too. My appointment is tomorrow morning. Not sure if they will remove them then, or if I will have to come back another day. I hate that it will keep me out of the river for a couple of weeks. The last one I had cut off my back hadn't healed all the way before I went swimming, and it got infected. I learned my lesson, and will wait longer this time.

So, I went for jury duty this morning only to be told when I arrived that the judge had given the wrong date, trial starts tomorrow. To make me feel better I guess, the court officer said I will get paid for today -- whoopee! I think it's $10 or so. :laughing: So I asked if they were going to fix the juror information phone line? It's locked up somehow apparently with some technical snafu (probably a lost password) but they expect to get it working today.

Paying the rent on a 1-800 line that is not usable, plus paying jurors to do nothing. Oh, the joys of gooberment.

I didn't let my trip to town go to waste; I didn't shower and shave for nothing by golly. I headed for the hardware store to get things for a few little projects. I spent 3.5 X my juror stipend.

67F and .26 inches rain last 24 hours.

Converting 2 twin beds into a Kingsize for our Cottage. I built these beds for our son more than 30 years ago, hauled them around the world in our travels, and they are still solid. Built hem in my in law's driveway with a circular saw, 3/8 electric drive, and a sander. After seeing the price of wood at Home Depot yesterday I don't think I could afford to build them today

I built an adjustable height raised queen bed for my older son years ago. I used 4x4's and boat dock hardware to hold them together for the frame. He moved it several times from one apartment to another, and liked the storage space below. It was pretty massive.

Well, he got married and the bed didn't pass muster with his bride--can't say I blamed her. So, I converted a lot of the material in it into a work bench, which he and the DIL still use.

Good afternoon...have a half dozen tomato sets planted, almost caught up with the mowing at long last...going out to do the ATV trails after I post this....thermometer just hit 90 degrees...GF is gone for two days to help her kid with child care so that means tonight is party time at (fill in the blank) and bring lots of pretty single ladies, steaks, munchies, and booze. What's that you say...? You didn't get my Facebook invitation...? Guess you are just out of luck....actually, I only sent it to NON-TBN members....
