My Mrs and I celebrate our 50 th. wedding anniversary today...We were high school sweethearts and married at 19 yrs. of age...We started going steady when we were just 14 yrs. old....

Good Morning. 0835, overcast, 73F with 95% humidity. Forecast high of 89F with 80% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, and a low of 72F tonight.

I have my morning workout and breakfast behind me, and the garden awaits. But there isn't too much to pick these days. Mostly cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and peppers. Or salad, as I like to call it. My 2nd planting of peas are blooming, but it will be a while longer on the new cucumbers, squash, green beans and corn.

Since it's Friday, I will be going in to work at 1300. I have a full weekend for a change. A birthday party and a wedding lockout tonight, the wedding tomorrow, and a baby shower and something else on Sunday.



Congratulations on your anniversary Bob. 50 years is a big deal. I'm not quite halfway there. But {if Margie doesn't kill me } I hope to make it one day.

not much dinner for me Irv. only four days on the road and my body isn't happy, though I did try to eat some meals at Subway because at least there you can eat something reasonably healthy.

Got coffee pot brewing. 62° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 82° with chance of a thunderstorm this evening. Got first coat paint on cellar doors yesterday. It's enamel, needs 24hrs for a second coat. Should be able to get it done before thunderstorms hit later today.

Low sixties, very nice out, and going up to high eighties or low nineties. Good thing, neighbor's daughter is having her graduation party outside in the back yard. Always nice to see the weather cooperating. I got her a compact stereo for her dorm room, small thing that works wirelessly from her smart phone. I would not have a clue how to use it, but she will, or her friends will... Well, it got a lot of positive reviews on Amazon and it was not expensive so that filled the bill.
I hope to go over, be sociable for a little while, get some food, and then go back across the street to keep cleaning up the house.

First real estate agent prospect comes Wed so I am on a deadline, and that includes trimming all the shrubs outside. Two local realtors, want to compare their approach. Which is really a question of gauging their competency, because the MLS will bring the buyer in. It's who will accentuate the positives and downplay the negatives the best will get the deal. I'm going to ask each one how they would handle my undersized but very nice master bathroom, particularly in these days of huge bathrooms. The guest bathroom upstairs is much larger, built for a lot of kids using it. And the market for this house is young families who want to educate their kids in the very good local schools.
But then right next to the very nice but honestly small bathroom is a very nice ladies makeup area with a lovely granite top. So when my late wife built this house, she delegated more room to the ladies area than the bathroom next door. I of course would have moved the wall about three feet further out.

so there's a situation I want to see how each one handles it. And when they are down in my woodshop in the basement, in its nice enclosed room, will he/she know the value of the shelving and built ins to a guy, or just think "oh, this must all be ripped out as they might want a finished basement, blah blah blah."
Problem is many of these people will tell you anything they think you want to hear...good ones don't.


Been dry here, but the forecast going forward after this weekend is pretty wet. Good.

Good morning, 68F heading to 83F. Worked on a front wheel bearing on my Chevy Optra. Not as simple as most where you just undo a few bolts and swap it out. Had to take out whole wheel assembly. This morning at work I pressed out old bearing and installed new, after work reassemble on car and we should be good to go.

It looks great. You did a good job. And it will hold lots of dishes. If it is just the two of you, she can sit on one end, and you on the other. On your fast day just spin the salad bowl 180 degrees around to her.

We never had a problem with Deer eating them,they do walk thru there but not once did they eat them.We have a ton of them Hostas in the Yard.
