Nice! That's how I like my snow: Sitting pretty on top of a mountain where I can admire it from a distance and don't have to shovel it

I'd like to shovel my snow. But it is frozen together in big sheets of ice now. Sheesh.... this is crazy weather.

Good afternoon. 42˚ foggy, drizzly, 1/10" rain, dark and dreary, even the nocturnal possum is roaming around the yard. However it played dead really good when Whipper was caring it around in her mouth. Whipper soon lost interest.

My parents again delayed the bovine extraction due to weather - but - I snuck over there, roped it, and drug it out with my pickup - took all of 12 minutes. I called them up and told them not to worry about it anymore and they were relieved. :thumbsup:

24 and going lower. I did get some paths cleared, so I can walk my dogs and get to the animal barn. My wife is pretty sore, she fell yesterday cross country skiing. I told her no more skiing, and she agreed, her hamstring hurts, if it isn't better by tomorrow, off to the docs she goes. Getting her to the doctor is a pain.

Good morning. Back to a frost this morning.

Weathermen are telling us this return to cold weather is caused by cold air coming over all the way from Canada. Thanks to all those kind people in Canada who have been burning logs to warm it up a little before sharing it with us.

good morning all, a balmy 39 degrees this morning going up to low fifties. and what do I see for this Wednesday? 77 degrees with a low of 60? wow. And the next day the low is 25, talk about temp swings.
I predict this week a daffodil will bloom. c'mon Spring

I need to get the local starlings to move on. Hundreds of birds swoop down in black clouds, strip every seed out of the bird feeders, often knock one off the tree and then move on, leaving my "locals" little to eat. I have four large sunflower feeders plus several of those suet feeders, and at least the big birds can't deal with the suet feeders, no place to land and maneuver. I love to feed the birds but had no intentions of feeding all in Times Square...

So, no problem with enough birds, I have too many. Can I send some North with the snow?

TxDon, that must have been quite an experience. Did you take any pics? Maybe we shouldn't know what that poor cow looked like. Hauling off dead animals is an experience most of us don't get. I had visions of you putting a rope around the middle of that thing and then it falling in half when you dragged it...oh boy, glad it pulled out cleanly.

41 this morning high of 45 later with passing showers. Sleet and ice tomorrow then heat wave close to 60 on Wednesday. Wife and I took nice ride yesterday then ate dinner out. Still a lot of nice snowy scenes in the valleys and mountain tops.

34 out this AM. Prepared for the commute to another real job, but changed my mind when I got to my gravel driveway. Still iced over.
Suppose to warm up today and the remainder of the week. Hope this is Winters last gasp. Found pictures of exactly this time last year, had snow on the ground too. And a lot of it. My how your mind plays tricks on you.
