Poured first cup of coffee. 64° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 63° with heavy rain after 8 am. Yesterday turned into a nice day on patio watching the NASCAR race. So much for weather forecasters.

1 1/2" of new snow to push around after work,temps bottoming out near 0F tonight,little warm up moving Tuesday.

26 this morning and headed to 41 today. Really felt warmer when I stuck my head out earlier. Spent some time visiting some friends yesterday instead of working. Very relaxing day. Now back to the grind. Have a guy coming over to help. Today and tomorrow are washing days. Atleast it's supposed to be decent weather.

Tuesday's forecast is 55-60 and rain and then Wednesday starts as rain with falling temperatures then to ice then snow. One local guy says 2-3 inches of snow and another says 5-8. Hope their both wrong and it stays all rain. Snow still on ground from two weeks ago.

This week is shaping up to be pretty warm. 80F is the forecast for Wednesday. The 6th-8th are good planting days. I may just roll the dice and put a few seeds in the ground.

The image that came to my mind was my boyhood Bangsite carbide canon. Haven't seen it in years, but sure had a lot of fun with it way back then.

Ordered a new 2 lb. can of calcium carbide pea gravel for the old Premier lamp a few weeks ago from a fella in Nevada. It wasn't available locally, and some on line sources were trying to get $92 for one. The Nevada price was still pretty steep ($23), especially considering we used to drop by a hardware store on our way to a caving site in West Virginia or Kentucky 40 years ago and pay a couple bucks. Then again, gas was $.50/gallon back then...

I want instead my own heat ray gun, which has now been announced we have for I'm sure several billion a copy.
sends out a blast of vibrating heat apparently, like a kind of microwave, which is quiet and highly effective. Downsizing one to a drone size I'm sure is well within RS's capability.
And I could really chase the birds for some distance, show 'em who's boss. Or more like, who dinner is served for...
wonder if I could program the drone to make rounds periodically over the orchard...

RS, I want full VTOL capability, redundant controls, twin 50's, err twin heat guns , and stealth mode.
By the weekend? Cupcake won't mind if the house gets cold.

Good morning all. 20F this morning clear light breeze. Clouding up, a lot of disagreement on high temp 26 to 36F and winter mix later tonight. Rain tomorrow and high in low 50's. Friday still holding up as my turn the temp corner. Wife and I are getting shingles vaccines today, otherwise slow start.
