Rain held off long enough this morning for me to be able to stroll around the fields at a very leisurely pace.
Nothing out of the ordinary happened, so I took my time, enjoying the views and watching the wildlife going about their daily routines.
New rotary mower has arrived. I'm raring to give it a go, but if I am honest nothing really needs cutting yet. Pictures to follow once it stops raining and when I work out how to use this new camera phone. I'm struggling to get a sharp focus on anything close. May have to play around with some different Android camera Apps. Any suggestions ?

The leaves have popped out in the last day or so. Good to see the hills go from brown to Green. My neighbor was picking fiddle heads beside the road yesterday.

good morning all. Subtropical Storm Ana warnings up, likely to be a stormy weekend as the storm affects SC and NC for the next few days. Sure no time to go offshore fishing, 15+ foot seas predicted.
Errands to run today. Might go and look at a smaller truck; no reason to keep this dually if I'm not pulling a heavy trailer.
Been looking at the Ram 1500 with the air suspension, or perhaps one of the new smaller GM trucks. Hard to get the equipment I want without a huge dose of chrome to go with it...

when I work out how to use this new camera phone.
not owning, or desiring to own a smart phone, I feel for you Eric.
being a lifelong non Apple person, I find the new stuff challenging to use.
the good news is that I found my pocket camera.
The bad news is that I found it when the dryer started and that pair of blue jeans started to go thump thump thump.

well, the memory card still worked.
I took the battery out and will see if it turns on today. Very, very unlikely. Canon does not recommend a spin cycle...
was in a pair of blue jeans covered in crud from weedwacking that I peeled off me on the way in the house and clearly did not check the pockets. Well, I usually do but sure blew it this time.
Perhaps all my pics on that camera from now on will have a nautical theme...

Tomorrow is sons graduation from law school, then more classes for studying for Bar exam until July when he takes the exam will not know results until end of September

Need to pour another cup of coffee. 53° with Partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 80° with partly cloudy skies until later in the day when thunderstorms are forecast. Got the pond up and running yesterday. Looks good after a long winter. Got a few outside projects for today. Hope I get them done before storms move in. Sky is very red off to the east.

61 out this AM. In the city today. Highs mid-80's. Started cutting grass yesterday and one of the mowers was not cooperating. Pulled out the 20+ year old craftsman to get the job done. It is my beater mower, abused, used, never tuned and yet, it keeps on ticking. Oh yeah, the frigging handle broke at both attach points to the mower, so it is a lot shorter than it should be....
Anyway, not a good way to start the grass cutting effort for the weekend. LOL.

The Dodge 3500 gets its state inspection this morning. I'll finish bringing in the dry firewood today before it rains Sunday-Monday.

Good morning, 61F heading to 84F. Attacked the lawn last night and sprayed to get rid of the dandelions, clover, and other weeds. Previous owner did not take very good care of lawn. It will take a while but hopefully by next fall the lawn should be full and green.

I had thought about getting Margie to drop me and the kayak off at the river on her way to work, but instead I'm going to get back to the waterline project. I think I've got all the fittings needed now. And the coffee canisters are still coming in. Margie and her best buddy are road-tripping up to south Georgia after work to pick me up some more. I really think they are just in the mood to road trip, and are just using my waterline as an excuse.

Good morning! 74˚ heading to 86˚ cloudy chance of rain.
Spent most of yesterday mowing on my Dad's tractor with his fairly new 8' mower. I have a 6' and that extra 2' really makes a difference in speed. Of course since his vegetation was already tractor hood high I was mowing in 2nd gear.
A copperhead bit Whipper in the face yesterday and after looking like a watermelon head yesterday she seems fine today.
The snakes are very active around here - lots of frogs and field mice.

65 this morning and headed to 89 today. Managed to get my to do list done for the week. Leave today for the smokies just a 3 day weekend.
