Speaking of liquid refreshment, I have water in the orchard.
boy am I envious. I haven't run my line over yet; considering maybe 7 trees croaked from flooding. But I sure have to do it. Will consult with you first. Going to use my subsoiler to dig the hole. Thankfully there are zero utilities on that side of my home. Will you then be able to blow out the system with air at year end? Or don't things freeze there long enough to matter?
Maybe so, that would be nice.
Blackbeard had a home in Bath,NC an old small historic town not too far from my home. So...you just never know
where the stuff might have been hidden, perhaps stolen from him, perhaps, perhaps....
About as likely as hitting the lottery.
I still think it's hidden in my pond.
I will just shut off the water to the line and leave all the spigots open. The lines are 12" deep, so the rare night we get into the teens shouldn't cause any damage.
Edward Theach {AKA Blackbeard} along with his friends and neighbors across Bathe Town Creek, Governor Charles Eden and Acting Chief Justice Tobias Knight, had cameos in my little stories, so I have read everything I could find about Bathe Town's most famous resident. {Most of which is pure crap} The one thing that stood out about his MO was the fact he very rarely used force. He went out of his way to be scary so his victims wouldn't put up a fight. Theach had a Royal Pardon and was a citizen in good standing in 1718. When Alexander Spotswood, the Governor of Virginia, sent a force south into North Carolina to kill him, it was more about getting back at Charles Eden. Each of the colonies were like a small nation, so it was an act of war to invade North Carolina. The goods taken from Knight and Eden {slaves and sugar} eventually cost Spotswood his job.
