New tractor showed up about 3pm. Just shut it off. Dark now so pictures will have to be gotten tomorrow. I also mowed my yard today with the new finish mower and put out hay. Had forgotten how nice headlights are. Only tractor on the place with lights.

farmer2009, will be looking forward to seeing the new tractor pics.
$3,000 - I think I'll wait till spring to see if I need to cut down 2 more oaks by the paver drive - they were starting to die before the fall rains and I'm unsure if they will survive.
I think If I let the one by the tractor shed fall there will only be about $500 in damages to the roof and maybe a few boards at the most. here is a pic of my situation.
I have found that finding when slow time is for tree maintenance. Then start looking for quotes. I have gotten trees taken down using that approach that saved 1000 of dollars. But in your area there may not be a slow time.Good morning! 66˚ cloudy heading to 77˚.
I have a huge, huge, huge oak tree (4' diameter) that is over my tractor shed and lean-to. It has died. It is a project that a professional with a boom will have to do or I'll let it rot and fall and repair the damage. Anyone have any idea what a tree professional would charge. I don't want too much of a shock before I call them, it's not good for the heart.
