Geez, RS, you sure know how to have a good time. Had four wisdom teeth pulled in one sitting back when I was in my 20s, and I'd hate to have a dozen done now.
Yup ... same here on the wisdom teeth back in my 20's ... was pretty painful as I recall. Couldn't drive home afterwards due to the anesthesia ... and was really hurting after it wore off.

Fortunately this go round didn't require any real surgery ... and the pain has been pretty minimal.

Interestingly, having had other (non-wisdom) teeth removed before, I've found that there's usually less pain after they're taken out.

Hopefully you got some good meds to manage the pain and can sleep through the worst of it.
Just Tylenol and Ibuprofen ... and I've been able to sleep like a baby.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery!
Thanks, appreciated ...

Good luck on the BBQ ... and give us a report on how the pond dye works out.

I have two rechargeables and love them, most of trimming is simple and a half hour will do it all, I do most of my trimming with Roundup! :D
Smart man ...

Liking that electric diverter valve too.

I did mow last night, finished just before sunset, wasn't too bad. Glad I didn't wait until today.

There have been starlings and blackbirds starting to flock for about 2-3 weeks, that's at least three weeks early, anyone else seeing this?
I haven't seen it here but about a week ago I heard what sounded like a snotload of crows over in the woods ... they were making a real racket ...

Yesterday made it to 97 with a heat index of 112. Today is supposed to be a little hotter. And it's well on its way. But a 10 degree cool off tomorrow when rain chances come back into forecast. Currently 90 and 104.

It's a take care of chickens and check cows kind of day today. Maybe see about pump on sprayer. Had a wire brake off. Need to see about soldering it back on today. If that don't work then it's a trip to TSC or RK. TSC will be 10% or so higher but it's 20 miles closer.

Also need to run in to town and get shots and dewormer for cattle. Vet coming Tuesday to pregnancy check cows. So will do everything in one trip through the shoot.

I use Echo gas power equipment. Weed eater, back pack blower, and chain saw. Been really good for me. Just wish chain saw had more bar speed. It's a slow cut compared to a Stihl or Husky. But no battery experience.

All our equipment has been Echo for many years. Once I discovered the Stabil Marine 360, I've eliminated all my ethanol induced carb and fuel line problems. Everything starts better too IMHO. I run the Stabil Marine 360 in our Corvette as well. It just gets a few hundred miles per year.

Ah, a new John Wick movie. The one all about pacifists and Buddha? not hardly....
on Youtube several folks have made clips of all the John Wick action shots.
RNG, is that at the theatre?

Just came in after chipping a full trailer load of brush and tree clippings and decided that the advice here of a wise man, or two,
saying pace myself held true. Enough. Nice shower and shave and I feel presentable again. Full mug of coffee helped too.

Drew, that is a serious chipper. Brand and model?

Thanks!

Just came in to dry off. Not from rain, unfortunately. unless my dripping qualifies for precipitation.

We have had a flock of cowbirds move in this week...no starlings or regular blackbirds.

The 5 baby Carolina wrens fledged from the nest on top of the porch speaker yesterday. They just flew around to the front porch and clustered like a covey of quail...took a nap, and then the parents got them over to the bushes...gone now.
I've never seen starlings start flocking this early, we had maybe 400-500 in the trees in back this morning.
Smart man ...

Liking that electric diverter valve too.

I haven't seen it here but about a week ago I heard what sounded like a snotload of crows over in the woods ... they were making a real racket ...

I have a lot of briar vines, forget the name, the trees and every open space had them when we built here, it took a couple of years of spraying and using the tooth bar on the bucket pulling out clusters of them from the trees, when I see one it gets generic Roundup like product from the local Tractor Supply. The diverted valve is a regular valve with a hole drilled and a linkage connected to a 12v door lock actuator. I'll take a pic sometime.

Hope everything goes well for you. I've been thinking of doing the same thing for while now. I've had problems with mine since I was a kid. Don't have many left.

The low this morning was 47* the high yesterday was 88*. Today is going to be mostly sunny. Did get a few showers yesterday. But still not as much as we need.

My daughter is going camping and we are dog and cat setting. She texted me this morning and the only thing she said was we could pick them up at the liquor store at 9:00.
Made me laugh.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

very cool pics Don, thanks. That combine has a lot of belts, probably didn't have to cover them way back when.

I forgot your annual barbecue is coming up. It always seems to be at the very hottest time of the year.
Enterprising person could sell swamp coolers pretty easily that day.

That combine was running and was driven to the auction from Dime Box TX about 15 miles away. When i say good prices I mean good prices for the seller. I stayed till it got to 99˚ (10:45 A.M.) and they were still on household items. Junk went for $50. (for example 3 1974 license plates went for $35.) I think they had a bunch of antique people there from Round Top TX. I left before any of the items pictured were Auctioned. At 3PM I saw people loading up the big items - trucks and tractors.

Wngsprd, I don't know the model of the SpeedQueen.

Drew we put about 10 large 6 ft. water fans around the picnic ground and give out free ice cold beer.

Weatherman just said 100s every day for the foreseeable future. That sounds like a very long time.

RS what are you replacing your teeth with implants or dentures?

Whew! Got up to 104°F again today. It's still 99° here at 7:25pm. Hopeful that the front will come through tonight and give us a little relief from this.

Stay cool, fellas.

Just to remind you it's not all hot everywhere out there. The other week I was riding here just a couple of days before this was taken

We had two rounds of storms this afternoon/evening, first was a derecho that travelled from west of the Pittsburg area, 62 mph gusts, sustained wind around 40 for 15-20 minutes, lost some limbs and ruined my flag, second was just a strong storm.

Got up early and went to mow some more in the pasture. Belt tight, spindles and wheels greased, tractor fueled up, radiator blown out... planned on finishing all that I needed done.. but that 7 year old belt was done... it came apart after about 30 minutes. Replacement was ordered a few days ago when I was servicing and noticed I did not have a spare. It should be here Wednesday, and then perhaps some more mowing.. I might get the sprayer out and spot spray some while waiting on belt.

Wx cleared in time for Kekoa's class, he did well.

These Cyclobenzaprine Hcl Tabs for my shoulder seem effective. Doc warned me about operating machinery or playing with knives, sure seems effective in inducing a nap :) think I'll try half a tab next dose.

RS - sounds like quite an adventure - ouch.

Good evening all. 78F for the start, made it to 102, 15% chance of showers none here. Bike ride this morning, adjust front derailleur this afternoon and cover boat, increased chance of showers through Monday.

RS pray that your mouth heals quick, step son just had some extracted from top, he is mostly healed now.

RNG your mechanic knows you only pay for work done doesn't he?
