Well, I guess winter is not over yet for me.
16, a forecast high of 50. Mainly sunny. Wind N 7 mph.

Today after a town run I will be doing the plumbing to pump fuel into the tractor out of my HHO tank.

Happy Saturday all

Ron great picture deer are always hungry I think. My rhododendrons are some of their favorite food

Good morning! 58˚ and rain chances increase throughout the day. Just what the berries need. I need to start freezing berries so I can have warm cobbler in the winter, if they last that long.

Deer and tractor pics this morning, nice.

Roy we will look into it probably a late fall thing but sounds interesting. Both of our family's were involved in civil war history both in battles in that area. We have been to numerous battlefields in Virginia but none out of state.

Let us know how the new 22/45 does

Fall is a prettier time to go...so, make plans! And, take a camera! Also, there's a lot of walking when visiting Harper's Ferry.
I'll let you know how the gun works...probably try it out this weekend. The early Mark IV guns had a safety recall for the safety (didn't always engage properly). This one is new manufacture, so it should be OK

56 degrees going for a high of 66 and the NWS says 100% chance of rain. Sure hope they're right, but so far it all shows to be a long ways NW of here, up around Wichita Falls.

Deer love apples. In fall you could put out bushel upon bushel of rotting apples and the deer will clean them up for you. Just don't get caught killing one over the bait. You get caught killing one over the bait up here and you are in for a world of grief! AND the Crown gets lots of neat stuff, like your guns (all of them), vehicle and anything else the cops can screw you out of.

Can’t hunt over bait here either, you can bait an area but the bait has to be gone before hunting.

Looks like we’re in store for a beautiful day in Missouri. Going to light the brush pile, clean up some dead fall in the orchard and cut the grass. A couple chicken quarters on the smoker and a few beers this evening. Back to the firehouse tomorrow. Have a great day everyone

Dang, how'd it get to be almost 9am already?

Had ice in the bird baths and frost again this morning.

Roy, great that your Ruger came in...hope you really like it. They look sharp.

Kyle...nice chicken coop...I didn't know that chickens drink Bud Light.

Randy, looks like the Shenandoah was high and maybe muddy. Hope the car show goes well.

The phoebes are nesting under my shelter again...I had to scare them off to get to my splitter. Since it was in the 30s yesterday, I still had the urge to cut firewood...cut a couple of the last dead trees I had found and then split and stacked on a pallet I had just built a frame over.

Shot a field vole with my .22 and took it with a couple of strawberries (in case it is vegan :) ) to the fox den. The vixen was standing there yipping to get the kits underground.

Have a great day.

It's about the same here. Shoot a moose and it's even worse, you would be better off killing a person.
I have never understood the difference though between putting out apples for a few days to attract deer, and planting food plots to attract them all summer.
