Little over an hour painting the interior of the gazebo in 94 degree heat, and said that was quite enough for today. At least I got something accomplished...and the lawn needs mowing again but forget it, tomorrow morning will come whether I like it or not, and rather mow when cooler

came in and took second shower, wonder if I can take a nap...would be nice to stay up past 9pm sometime...

All ready to go to tire appt, thought I should plan my entry a bit since the store is one busy street. When I made the appt, the guy told me, plenty of room to turn trailer around, no problem. When I looked at google sat map, it was obvious it was a back out onto street if I pulled in, or back in. I called to confirm things, guy told me parking lot is completely full of cars, just the lot space between the rows open. I would have to back in and block a bunch of cars. He offered for me to go in early in the morning and get there before the lot is full, backing in from street. No problem, my wife has a bridal shower she is going to so can't ride with me, but will go with me and block what should be light traffic in the morning while I back in.. lots less stress I think.

All showered and dressed and no where to go, wife suggested we go to an early dinner out. good plan.

Went to HD today to get some 12 3 wire to get the lathe hooked up. The guy tried to sell me a piece with only 2 wires in it a white and a green marked 12 3. Got some 10 3. Got a UPS delivery and found out that the drivers can have a beard if they have a letter from the DR.
George needs to have a beard because he......????? Can't figure that one out.
Didn't get the pics of the lathe but I will before long.

New thing this week at Disney retirement neighborhood is bocce ball. Never played it till today. They had a newbies class. 40 showed up. Pic of one of 8 courts.

I think I might be able to develop a tractor club. I will have to get with the maintenance department and inquire about resident volunteers.

I did find out they have a gun club that does everything from shooting ranges to hunts to cc classes.

And yes Drew there does seem to be a lot of widows.

No. Baylor Scott and White clinic in Bryan College Station. I bet they don't send me a survey to see how my visit went this time. (We had a good experience at the new clinic in Giddings already.)

I was quite agitated about it. Then I got back to work....

and some galoot had cut a 6" wide x 1.1" thick piece of 316 stainless on our bigger saw and ruined the new blade I had just put on it.... I can't get anyone to 'fess up' and buy me a new blade with their project budget money....


Topps, I'll bet Boris and Natasha goes over well. You need rocky and bullwinkle.

That's actually late for me...8pm is wind-down, 8:30 is getting drowsy, 9pm is starting up the chainsaw (snoring). By 9:30 I've sawn enough lumber to build a town. My problem is staying asleep for longer than 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Wake up all night long, ussually have no problem falling back asleep, just doesn't last too long.

Last night I was soooo tired, didn't have to get up early, so took 10mg of melatonin and 25 mg of Benadryl....should have been out for 8-9 hours.....nope, same stupid wake / sleep cycle.....

I'm glad for people who are cognizant about potential danger of having/causing an accident or possibly hurting others. Most all of you are considerate like that.

Same for mounting a mailbox next to the road on an immovable post. If a momma slapping her bad teenage son while driving, ran off the road and hit it, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself...

Good evening all. 80F for the start, overcast, calm wind. Got a brief shower, roads got wet, nothing in rain gauge, then cleared off wind picked up to 10-18, and high temp of 98F. The showers slowed down the start of my bike ride, with the humidity another sweat fest. Finished mowing, the showered for dinner.
RNG, I guess the light and the end of the tunnel might not be a train!
