Ed we watch his episodes a lot, very entertaining. Still looking for him to go to one of my favorite vegan Mexican restaurants in San Antonio.

Maybe you should call them and give them a tip about it. Ed

Good morning, all is very still outside and the birds have quietened down now the sun has gone into hiding. We should still have a few more hours before it rains and I had intended doing a bit of welding, adapting a scrap pallet fork frame I was given to go on the 3pt hitch so I can carry two pallets on each trip, one on the back and one with the FEL. It will have to wait though as I've got an appointment with an optician.

The other night I saw a couple of streaks in the sky, thought they were meteors until the next evening when I saw some more, except this time they were all tracing the same impossible path across the field. Yesterday I noticed a shadow in the peripheral vision of my left eye and a bit of reading on our National Health Service website told me to get it checked out.

Good to hear the new truck is more than earning it's keep farmer.

Ed, you just have to imagine you are turning something on that lathe while dentist is drilling and the time will pass soon enough.

Mostly, are you going to fit a new chain too ? I would never trust a hungry chain once it had found it could nibble away your nice tender alloy chain rings. A chain that claims "it was the derailleur that made me do it" could just be playing on your kindness before it eats another ring :licking: :)

70 going to 93 again. Maybe in a few months I'll be wishing this heat back.

David, good luck with those bolts.

Ed, have a nice trip over the mountains and open wide :).

Randy, still pulling for you.

Went on my last poison ivy hunt of the year with 4 gallons in my HF backpack sprayer. Finally made it all the way to my south property line in the pine woods. That was a goal this year. Then ran into that neighbor at a restaurant in town last night and found out he is moving. (Nothing to do with me spraying, since his house is a quarter mile away). He has a new fiancee, and I think she wants to live in town, or very close. He has 4 horses, a lot of metal working equipment, etc. Lots to do when moving. Don, I guess you went through a lot of that recently.

My oldest son is coming over in a few minutes. Wants to shoot some dove.

I had the same thing a few years ago and after the eye doctor checked me, she said it was a normal part of aging. I hope yours is okay.

Toppop hope you are doing better this morning.

Drew, was it your post that got things cleaned up in FP?

interesting timing.....................;)
who knows...maybe I'll even go back, but not like anyone there wants to see a picture
of my sweet potatoes. Georgia Sweets. A bit strange looking but was told they were yummy chopped up and baked.
I started to dig them up and got too many smalls, so leaving them alone for another week.

didn't buy the Honda mower. New handle paddles like car paddle shifters require constant pressing, deal killer with my hands and arms.
So I got the same engine in an awd Husqvarna, ordered yesterday on Amazon, already confirmed will show up tomorrow Friday. Two days.
Biggest issue for me was weight; this mower is 80 pounds, much lighter than most of self propelled competition. Would have spent another hundred bucks for the Honda but not with those hand controls. For most they are probably fine.

I learned about weight the hard way. Bought a Ariens walk behind mower with Kawasaki engine about five years ago.
Probably the most heavy duty small mower one can buy.
And horribly heavy, a real tank to use. Worse, the drive belt is not protected underneath and sticks can knock it off.
Sitting under a tarp in the shed for two years. Been to warranty shop and fix did not hold.
Should fix it and sell it. Kawasaki single cylinder pressure lube/oil filter engines
are seriously nice, I think meant to compete with Honda GX engines; too bad this was wasted on a poorly designed mower.

Looked at electric mowers, again...same weight, one hour run time. Close...
am guessing this is last non electric trimmer I buy.

Poured first cup of coffee. 65° with light rain this morning. Heading to 74 with rain ending in afternoon. Got .61" of rain overnight. Did find a little project that had not been completed with last weekends conduit project. There is a cover over wires that come out of circuit breaker box. Old one did not fit. I made and installed a new one. All it needs is a little paint. No plans today.

Randy and Farmer, prayers for a quick recovery.

Ed, thanks for the reminder. I need to see my dentist about tooth he last worked on. Still has pain after a couple of months.

David, hope it doesn't take too long to get bolt.

Kyle, I like the TX. road show programs. I had a APP on my phone that worked with one of the programs. But do not remember what it was. The other one I had was TX. historical markers.

Eric, good catch on hands and legs.

Good Morning All.
